Original 1977 Sting I
on: May 12, 2010, 04:36:06 PM
This original 1977 Sting I is completely in unused mint condition; it has spent over 30 years in a closet in it's original box with plastic cover.

The knife was hot drop-forged from one piece of stainless steel by the Solingen, Germany based Anton Wingen company for AG Russell.
The double edged blade is polished to a high gloss, the handle is inlayed with rosewood or ebony, and the etchings are crisp & clean.
The sheath would classify as medium brown leather and has a spring steel belt clip attached to the back.

From what i've read the Othello Head etching on the blade distinguishes this knife as an early European version.
The knife comes complete in original box.

Overall length: 6 5/8 inch
Blade length: 3 1/4 inch

I would like to have 350,00 dollars for this fine blade, and this includes international shipping from the Netherlands to England or the US.
You can use paypal.

I have a feeling that Kwakster means $350.00, not 350,000.  In Europe it's common practice to use a comma to break up denominations rather than periods.

Of course, if he DOES mean 350,000, my apologies for sticking my nose in!   :ahhh

Grant is completely right on the money, :D
The asking price for this vintage little dagger is indeed 350 dollars.

AG Russell himself sells these (when he can find them) for 365 dollars plus shipping, and on EBay the last one went for 420 dollars.
But this one was never worn and it comes complete in it's original box.

I would hope common sense would prevail here and that members would realise that Robert wouldn't be selling something worth $350k on a forum.
