Thanks!  I'm trying to be more selective these days, but it is difficult when the prices are low.

Speaking of lucky,  I added to my bridge repair kit recently.   Wright 1164 and 1156 combination wrenches.  The 1164 is a 2 inch wrench.  Over 27 inches long and over 9 pounds.

This week's estate sale buy.  I paid $17.  The Dremel is circa 1977, variable speed 5,000 to 25,000 RPM.

Today's estate sale  buy. Eight American made clamps the 4 inch are Brink & Cotton.  The six three inch clamps are Adjustable brand made in Chicago. Gardening finds include the dibble and some rusty Wiss shears. Neatest finds in this lot are the blue 2-inch vise in the center of the photo and the folding yardstick on the upper left corner.  Center bottom of the photo is a Lectrolite Tru-Fit double open end wrench next to a Craftsman short double box end wrench.

Dang nice find! I thought wiss only made sheet metal shears, what’s the blue ones, are the a flat edge diagonal cutter? My wife just bought me mini needle nose for my bday coming up, but there a pair, one straight and the others bent, they will be great for my sheet metal models, I’ll take a pic,,

As promised, a pic of my new spring loaded mini pliers, straight and bent, along with my model box, a plastic ammo can with a cut 2x4 that has holes drilled so the pliers and tools will stand upright, along with a bunch of other tools and odds and ends,, if curious on the other tool, there’s flat pliers, round nose pliers, a punch, tweezers, A special leather tool(the one in red) X-Acto, crochet needle, and a very special tool someone on here help me invent! It turned out a little big so I got to see about having another made but smaller,,

I've cleaned these Wiss No. 5600 shears enough to make them usable. Wire wheel, steel wool, a light sharpening,  a little lubrication, and elbow grease is all it took. Probably manufactured in the 50's or 60's.  Not bad for 60-70 years old.  Before and after pics.

I bought three tool boxes at a yard sale last week. This is the first of the three.  The family was selling tools from their husband/father's estate.  They have all the items they can use, and they were selling the rest.    His family said he liked to collect tools, and he knew how to use all of them.  This appears to be his cutting torch/mig welding box.

I purchased a toolbox from him last year.  He had a lot of equipment and a few smalIer items that day.  I looked at a small older Craftsman toolbox, but i didn't really need it.  I was walking away when he told me I could have the toolbox for whatever I had in my pocket.  I had $3.  He took the money and said he "needed to sell things to downsize."  Nice guy.  His name was Alan.

Next to the soapstone holder, I take it the brass one is a round soapstone holder but what’s in the plastic tube? Is it those wax refills? I had one of those wax pens, such a cheesy holder but the wax was great especially the yellow ones! Of course it grew legs and took off,,

I believe.it is very thin soapstone and holder.  I'll pull it out and take a closeup. I have been looking for a.regulat.soapstone holder.   I picked up some.soapstone.last.year.

I had idk how much soapstone, I know I still have a rectangle one and a round holder and some soapstone somewhere, this is what I used to have, it came with like 4diff colors but either the red or yellow was perfect depending on what project you were working on, but it grew legs and took off, I picked up one of these, they were only like a quarter each, but I have yet to try it, red and I think blue,,

The second of three tool boxes I bought at a garage sale recently.  Many of the tools are Craftsman =v=, including a full set of 1/2 drive sockets, 7 combination wrenches, 4 pin punches, and a small lot of hex wrenches.  Also Craftsman and S-K Wayne DOE wrenches and a Wizard sliding breaker bar.

Thanks JR,  I paid $15 each for the tool boxes.  I haven't  seen any unbroken folding rules lately.  I am looking for one with numbers sideways on the ruler so they can be read when you are holding the ruler vertically.  I saw one online.  Probably a specialty ruler.

I identified the ruler model.  It is a Lufkin No. 636 Brick Mason's ruler.  Some versions, maybe earlier versions have the vertical numbering.
