NO, NO AND NO  :o



This is a coconut crab. It gets up to 3ft in length and 40lb in weight. They steal shiny things like cooking pots from your tent... OMFG... and crack open coconuts with ease.

They are pretty amazing.  I saw a couple when I was in Vanuatu.

that's pretty cool! and I'm sure it's like the old zombie movies and you can out-run it, unless you trip and then it gets ya! :ahhh

Well I'm sure it would hurt like hell if it got it's claws on you, but otherwise it's just a big scary crab I think!

It's the largest land living arthropod, (WIKI) but this fella doesn't seem too bothered by it  :o

Wow thats a lot of crab to eat, I'm thinking spicy garlic crab  :drool:
Hope its not endangered, its the kind of thing that if you don't eat it.... it might eat you  :)

Not seen one of those in the shell but have seen a few Japanese spider crabs.  They were pretty big. My boys gave them a very wide berth :D

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
