I wouldn't know where to begin for a group buy but I'm sure if there's enough interest we could pull something together It is a locker as well, not sure if I mentioned that above.http://www.exduct.com/tactical-knife/sanrenmu-srm-tactical-folding-knife-knives-710.html
I got one of the same from over at BB, they really are great knives. That's one of HTG layards isn't it? I can spot his rope workmanship a mile away!
The very man I paid the extra for one of his lanyards Do you know what weave that is? Looks complicated My lanyard work is ok [see below] but thought I'd get an expert in I quite like the metal collar on it too. I've always like the lanyards with the skulls on them (Image removed from quote.)
I'd seen you make your own, that's why I thought it odd you had one of HTG's! It's the same weave as yours, well almost. When you make yours you lay the cords at right angles to make the box weave, if you lay them across at an angle you make a twist weave. HTG is a twist, box, twist with the second twist going in the opposite direction.
They are less than $10 shipped to your door, not much point in GB.
I've bought a couple from exduct.com for ~$8 shipped.
I can't decide b/w one of these and a CRKT Drifter. Then again they're all so cheap I might just get both!

Someone on here said the Ganzo knives are garbage, don't remember who or where though.

Quote from: shecky on July 16, 2010, 06:47:32 AMI've been wondering about those multis, too. Being very impressed with Sanrenmu knives, I am curious about the MTs showcased on their site. Funny you should say this. I bought a CRKT KISS folder, and a Sanrenmu copy. The Sanrenmu beats the CRKT in every way. Better steel. Much better fit and finish, about one third the price, shipped. If I were Ed Halligan, designer of the KISS, I'd be pissed. Not because he was copied, but because his name is on a sub par knife while the knock off is much better and cheaper to boot. After several Sanrenmu knives passing though my hands, I'd easily buy another sight unseen without worry, and reluctant to buy a CRKT unless I could inspect it first. Hopefully, this will light a fire under CRKT's butt to get the house in order.Unfortunately, the Ganzos they have listed aren't very good. Basic, serviceable, but not that good. As for CRKT, I've been hearing similar things from a couple of store owners/salespeople that regularly deal with CRKT stuff - declining quality over the last few years. I used to have a pretty good collection of CRKT knives, I don't buy them any more, though. The only thing I have left is a limited edition 24K Peck.

Edit: Oh, and after comparing one of my 763s and a Drifter yesterday, I'm pretty convinced the Drifter was pretty definitely made by SRM - same frame, pivot and clip screws, same quality and feel on the G10, same size liners. From a more subjective point of view, they feel the same when opening.Of course, CRKT provides a lifetime warranty and the choice of a combination edge - those might be worth the extra ~$8.00 you'd pay for the Drifter.
