I just bought a Vic gardener off ebay. It has the sheeps foot blade that i like, and a long handle. I think it will end up living in my pocket.

Those are great. It's funny - I got that EXACT same set of three from FelineVet years ago when I first started collecting. Farmer, Harvester and Settler all with 03 blades. Until this past week, they were the only new style alox knives I've ever seen with dated blades. Then I picked up a 03 dated Pruner on eBay and you posted these. Dated blades in new style alox seem to be quite unusual - esp compared to how relatively common they were with the old style. 03 is the only year I've ever seen them in.

An old one with the catalog number 327 ....

(Image removed from quote.)

Very Nice!  I posted a picture of a similar one at one time.  I think it was shorter and 1 layer less with different handles.  The scales on that make it look like quite an early one.  Trying to see if I can find mine to compare the numbers.

interesting knife...interesting tools...what are those special tools for...seems that it would work perfectrly to open a door or a lock without a key... like locksmith tools...

My laterst SAK  is Vic Dual Pro X. I'll EDC this starting tomorrow.  I love this SAK and I'm planning to get the other version. The one with the philips screwdriver instead of corkscrew.

The compact arrived this morning, sweet, took me a while to find the pin!, amazing as to what is fitted into two layers. I ordered the knife at 14.02 yesterday, delivered 12.41 today, how good is that for 1st class post. Excellent service [can I mention who?] :mail:

if there is a more feature dense 2 layer SAK I'd love to know what it is.  Compact is a superb SAK and is (in a round-about, long winded and boring way) the reason I'm here on the forum.  :D

As Tony says, we've no issue with hearing about good service. :tu:

Swisstool X, quite a beast, I remember seeing these in the shop displays and wanting one ever since I was very young. They were always out of reach expensive.
