Did I say I prefer alox somewhere ? OK, right ... That's true,
But one cannot simply walk trough good deal without taking anything
...

A Victoria Pocket pal (like new)
An Elinox Gourmet (quite worn)
A Coricama Inoxid (Italian) Pirelli branded, tooled as a spartan, like new and of really good quality (as good as a Vic!)
All for 10€

@m47mu74nt: I hate your handle, but buy those are some beauts.  (Just kidding, it is just hard to type.)

I saw a birth year (1987) Wenger SI on eBay and regret not pulling the trigger.  Anyways, got a great great price on a Wenger Serrated Master.  Only flaw is the small chip in the front scale.  (Wenger scales chip so much more easily than Victorinox, I think because they have the lip over the liner rather than being flush with the liner.  Seems like a great place to break if you drop them.  I am thrilled that Victorinox kept a lot of Wenger design in the Delemont collection, but changing the scales so that they don't have the lip over the liner was definitely a good change IMHO.)

Also, figured out the issue with the s557 pliers.

Notice where the larger plier handle (the one attached to the handle) is milled to make room for the spring.  They milled it a lot less than usual on the s557.  The gap is much larger on the Serrated master (top) than s557 (bottom).  I would assume this milling is done by a machine, which would make me suspect there are a ton of these out there?  If this was your first SAK you might not even realize how precisely the pliers should meet, which is a shame.  This is not up to Victoriwenger quality.

Luckily, I purchased it through Amazon so exchanging it is pretty simple.  Just hoping they don't have a whole batch like this.   ???
