Interesting write up, z1913! I got one a while back and found it interesting, but I prefer the Vic tools so it tends to stay in the box - in fact I last used it on a Wenger/Delémont challenge LOL!

If you’re into loose pocket carry, like I am, one of the benefits of the Evolution scales is that the additional thickness halos keep the SAK from shifting around in your pocket as much as a slimmer knife might do. And since they’re plastic, it doesn’t add a noticeable amount of weight.

My new Lego Yeoman. Very Christmassy SAK.
Custom scales, red g10 liners, acid washed tools and all the trimmings. Love this one.

The Recruit is my favorite SAK and like you I have a Classic SD or Rambler for scissors and it covers all my daily needs.  I totally agree with your observations as well regarding the backside tools as well.  Nice pickups  :like:

The recruit is a staple SAK for me and definitely perfect in combination with something like a rambler or manager.

Some great posts and finds here, really enjoying this thread…

Just got the Vic Evolution S52,
Not bad until yet: whit these Unsuspectios Red Scales it might hide its Lockable Blade which means I can hopefully also take it to French
It’s just 5 Lines so it’s not that over sized but got enough tools :
- Nail File/Cleaner
- Blade , which is much easer acceable then on a Victorinox , whit Gloves
- Serated Scissors which are also on a good spot so easy to open whit Wenger Style Spring
- Saw, not big but should be useful
- Wenger Adjustable Pliers
And the usual Bottle and Can Openers..
on backside the Victorinox Ale and Korkscrew, and the Scale Tools Tweezer and Tooth Pick

As it’s a Wenger Model it ditnt came whit the Glasses Screwdriver, so I put it in from one of my other SAKs..
it was more expensive as the Huntsman whit 58 vs 34 €, but I suspect the Delemonts have to be more expensive as it’s a Collection ^^

I have the Hanger from the Hunter Pro Alox on it , I hope it’s ok ..

My plan whit this knive is to have a One Knive Solution, a SAK you can use for everything, therefore I was in search for a smaller Toolset..

Bevor I had the Minichamp for Nail Cleening, the Cybertool L for the tools, and the Hunter Pro Alox for the Blade, it was not that easy to carry..

So a few pix:

Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue
