I received this little gem in the mail today, the 2023 VSAKCS knife.

That is a beautiful knife. Looks to be the same color as my Cadet X. Got the Cadet in a knife lot and it was so pretty I had to use it to build the X I'd been wanting.

I wasn't sure about the scales at first but gradually grew to like them.  I have an Evo 10, Evo 101 and Evo 14, and the wood versions of 10 and 14.  I like the main blade on the Delemonts.  They're different and they are out of production so I've been picking up the ones I'm interested in.  I might even go for the 557 if I see a great price on it, though I usually prefer 2 or 3 layer knives.

Got a great deal on this early 70s Wenger Traveler. Very similar to a Victorinox Alumnus, but more pocket friendly. I think this is the happiest I've been with a "new" knife in a long time.

The Wenger Swiss Sportsman I picked up a while back inspired me to give this one a try. Victorinox Evolution S14. I was a bit skeptical about the Eco scales at first, but they ended up feeling great in hand. I'm also a huge fan of the toolset, as well as the overall size of the knife. I used to have to carry an SAK using a clip hanger or a sheath, but this carries just fine in the bottom of my pocket.

+1 on the Evo S14!  I have a couple Delemonts with the locking blade.  At first I was a little bit afraid of guillotining the tips of my fingers off every time I released the lock but gradually I got used to it and relaxed about using it.   I just very gently ease it off the lock. The evo wood scales are also very nice - comfortable and beautiful.  I recently got one of the evogrip scales with the black textured and softer area with red or yellow.  Very grippy!

I'm definitely digging the blade shape. I'm tempted to pick up one or two more just because they've been discontinued. It's really killed my interest in any other models.

If you don't count the corkscrew/phillips variations there actually aren't that many Delemont models.  The 5-layer and above are kind of pricey though.  I was looking at the 557, for example.  I'm curious to try out the Wenger-specific tools like wrench and pliers but for the price I could get a SwissChamp.

I found this Fieldmaster at the local pawn shop. It was a real good deal on top of that.

The next one has a bit of a backstory to it. There is a store in Tessalon Ontario that sold Wenger knives long after Wenger no longer existed. Their prices were high, and the town wasn't all that large...so these Wengers were a nice find. I bought several models from them over the years. Well that chapter is no longer at play. This Wenger Golf Pro was their last one in the store. The proprietors told me they will no longer stock SAKs.

Picked up another Tinker Small because I liked my first one so much along with an S101 for the 84/85mm challenge coming up.
