Subtle changes to the PowerAssist?

I was noticing some subtle changes on the latest released photos of the new PowerAssist. Not surprising, given the ones we saw at the beginning of the year were no doubt early prototypes.
I'm still not clear on what it does, but the shape of that little button and window along the handle has evolved somewhat.

Looks like the window is a lock for the auto assist function.

That would be my guess as well- looks like it's been made smaller though. Cost cutting somehow, or just decided that a small lock release would make it harder to unlock by accident?

Also, some of the multi-tools in the photos have SOG's standard hex head screws an others have the recessed typed--similar to the PowerPlay and Stanley/Harley multi-tools.
