Anyone here have a SOG Micron?
on:
October 04, 2007, 12:24:53 AM
I've been wanting to get one of these for my keychain for a while, but I'm curious as to how they lock. I guess it's probably a slip-joint, but I haven't been able to find any reviews on it, and there's no info on the SOG site. Thanks in advance.

We gave one away last year about this time. Dave had it for a while, maybe he can fill in some details.

Nice little slipjoint, felt slightly "cheap", razor sharp thought....keychain not a good idea I don't think, would be worse that a vic classic attached to keys

I have a Minichamp on my keys right now, so I think I can manage it. I only use my keys at work anyway (office, dumpster, and supply closet keys only) because I don't have a car, and I clip them to my belt with a Victorinox belt clip.
And it's not exactly expensive!
Thanks for the info though!

I believe the new SOG Fusion series are made in China, are they not?

I belive so, completely made over seas. China, Tiawan, etc.
Still good quality though, most of the US companies that outsource are keeping tabs on quality control.

Yeah
Plus, it's a keychain knife, which won't get used nearly as much as my Trident or my SAKs.

I have owned one and have carried it on my keyring for several months, It is a great little slip joint knife. (no lock). It got the place of honor because my SOG wife sent it to me. If you want a little keyring knife that isn't a classic or esquire then this is one for you. If you are not satified with it take it up with the SOSAK Hitman.
