Pocket Kukri
on: November 30, 2010, 05:14:36 PM
I will have to try very hard not to resist this one  :ahhh

It is made by Magnum Knives; the 'value brand' from Boker. It is selling for less than £20 and looks really good and useful too  :tu:

It does lack a pocket clip but then perhaps it's not a knife to hang of your pocket anyway. Perfect for a lanyard though :D

So what do you think; will the 440 stainless steel cause problems in the long term?

Good review here

I like the idea of owning one but I'm not convinced that its the right shape for a blade of that size
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I'll be straight up - I don't trust companies unwilling to tell you the actual makeup of the steel they use in their products, even if it's from a relatively well-respected company like Boker.  It costs literally nothing to add one extra letter to a laser engrave or the marketing material and it smacks of having something to hide.

If it's 440A, tell us.

Agreed; you'd expect the blade to be more subtantial like the Rajah III

It just looks... um different :D

Another one of interest is the CRKT Razel  :ahhh  :dd:
