Nicely done :tu:  What did you use?

This is its original edge before I sharpened and polished it.

I used waterproof silicon carbide sand paper to sharpen it.. no. 400 first, then no. 600, 800, 2000. Then I start polishing manually using crocus cloth and for final polish I use Glo Metal Polish.  I put a very thin layer of of the metal polish on a piece of paper  and rub the edge on it as if you are sharpening.

I haven't added anything lately to the "stable", so to speak, but that should change quite soon.

I EDC it for the second straight day yesterday. A buddy saw it and want to handle it. He will not return it to me anymore. Since I was in need of cash I sold it at cost readily.

I think he as attracted to it because of its razor sharp and mirror finish edge. He tested its sharpness by shaving a small area of his legs.

I  really miss it now.

Yesterday I received a Spyderco Byrd Robin plain edge with G-10 scales.  What a nice little knife!  Great quality, typical Spyderco.  Took the pocket clip off and it sits nicely at the bottom of my pocket, waiting to be called upon for duty.  :tu:  I highly recommend if you're in the market for one.

I just bought a Spyderco Persistence today. Pretty awesome knife for the price.

I had an issue with the pocket clip screws, first 2 came out nice and the third one was really tight and it stripped but I emailed them, they replied instantly and I have some more screws one the way. Now I just have to figure out how im gunna get the last one out.

Ill post some knife pics later.

Amici,
I recently picked up a Buck Vantage Avid and I love it! The Avid comes in a 3/3/4" closed package with a reversible stainless steel pocket clip, ergonomic grips made of Bucks Charcoal Dymondwood, and a 2 5/8" drop point blade made of Bose treated 13C26 satin finished Sandvik steel.

Extremely lightweight, the Avid offers ultra smooth, ambidextrous one-hand opening with a Kershaw style speed assist, locks open using stainless steel liners for extra durability and safety.

The Vantage is ideal for an everyday carrying knife and better yet, you can grab one for about $30.00 so pick one up, you won't be disappointed.

Cheers,
Serge

Did you mean the flipper?  Because the Vantage doesn't have an opening assist.

Amici,
That's what I meant the avid uses a Ken Onion style flipper as found on some Kershaw models, D'OH!

Cheers,
Serge

The vantage pro was a screaming deal when it was first introduced and going for $40, I really should've jumped on it and get a couple. Now they are going for a lot more than that. :(

After stopping by a favorite, albeit very smoky, store of mine, I walked out with two Baker's/Twine knives, a spare Case Peanut in black G10, and a Buck Charcoal Dymondwood Cadet. :tu:
