Are Internet Ad's Getting Smarter??

I've noticed recently that the ads that appear in Youtube and the all the usual places seem to be getting smarter

Normally these ads are completely random and nothing I'd be slightly interested in. Now it is stuff that I have previously searched for in Google

I assume you are all familiar with the Terminator series where the computers took over the world; well it may be coming sooner than we think

I hear that behavioral retargeting is all the rage these days. Oh well... Adblock to the rescue!

Ads are getting so slick nowadays, it's almost as if they'd been coated with Chrome or something.

I wish the ads would go away. I do NOT have a problem with premature...well you know. My wife seems upset by it but I'm cool with it. Just gets it out of the way faster.

And, if you add NoScript, you can forbid google-analytics.com from running in the background on sites. That is where most of the data is mined from.

Also blocking cookies from 3rd parties in Firefox's settings helps as well.
