Need some good energy and prayers please

I might be having some heart issues. Yesterday out of the blue my heart rate and blood pressure went WAY up. Very very abnormal for me. Went to the ER 30min later, I was completely fine. For 5 hours in ER and all night and most of this morning I was fine. Then, it happened 2 more times today. After a visit to the Doctor, I have to wear a 24 hour halter monitor because he thinks I either have a thyroid problem, am reacting badly to stress, or have an heart arrhythmia. Good thoughts and/or prayers would be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope this is of some help.

Last year I had been suffering a run of serious head aches.Eventually my boss chased my off to see the doctor,who discovered I was suffering high blood preasure,wasnt suffering migraines,and oh yes did you say you'd had cancer?

Whilst the docs still dont quite know why I get the head aches,we do know I dont have cancer,migranes,the blood preasure is easily managed,and I'm actually in good health!So there was some value in having the mdicos scaring the frak out of me

I know you must be very worried but I hope things arnt serious,and we are thinking of you!

Maybe do not try & get of the ride mid ride when freaked out , like my eldest son tried to do a couple of years ago

, just hang on & it will end eventually

I will pray for you kelly. Sorry you have to go through this. My wife has hyperthyroidism, so we've been going through this for years. We just found out last year she has nodules on her thyroid and had to have a biopsy in December. I have never been so scared in my life. After all was said and done, we found that thyroid nodules are extremely common and that most women have them at one point or another. It seems that the most you will end up doing is getting on a med called synthroid for the rest of your life. It's a thyroid hormone simulator and has not even affected my wife's daily routine. I'm a lifetime asthmatic myself so I will be on meds forever too. No biggie. PM if you have concerns, I'm sure my wife would be glad to talk to you.

Hi All,
Just a small update. I wore the halter monitor (heart monitor) all day yesterday and turned it in this morning. I had one episode while on the monitor so hopefully it caught it. I'm feeling somewhat better, but still don't have any answers. I go back to the doctor tomorrow to see what the monitor picked up. I don't know the results of the blood tests yet so that kind of sucks. But we'll see.

Ok, so thyroid is on the low side of normal, but normal. So that's not it. Oddly enough the hospital (the one I work at) forgot to send the monitor I wore off to the cardiologist office to be read, so I'll have to wait until Monday at the earliest to find out about that. The doc decided to put me on a beta blocker to try to regulate the heart rate for the next few weeks as we continue to try and figure this out. So, that's what's going on as of right now. Thanks again, guys and gals.
