How to get a Tractor out of the mud

We used to get them stuck on occasion on the farm and I have to say this
was one way we'd never thought of.

I can only imagine the amount of torque that thing has to be able to do that.  Note to self- keep large tree branches and chains in the Jeep for the next time I get stuck!

Its a pretty old school 4wd trick, usually though you chain a smaller log across the tread of the tyre. i have to find the link but there is a really good page on all the old unothodox recovery methods
