He even makes reference to his scissor rant at the SHOT Show:

So was it the precise informative term "Rockin!" at 1:37?

Actually it was the sound effect he made when introducing the Charge that got to me.  I tried to hold out after that but it took me a while to realize I wasn't paying any attention to it, so there was no point in continuing.

That engraved black Wave was pretty sweet though.

I'd like to point out that I have nothing against Nutnfancy- the man has shown great success at what he does, and for that I have to commend him.  Whether you like him or not, you have to give him credit for doing what he loves and being successful at it.  I simply find his style not to my liking, but that shouldn't take anything away from him, and he does provide good info.

Nutnfancy's been successful because he takes a very standardized, very detailed, very structured take on his reviews and then relates it to experience.  Most people don't share his experience, but it's a long ways away from most of the other reviewers on Youtube who tend to be a bunch of what's a good term, Mall Ninjas?

However, yeah, he can be really annoying.

I made it just under 5 minutes. Mostly because in 5 minutes of reviewing the tool, he never actually talked about the tool. I heard about the entire Charge line, the ST300, the Swisstool, but the supposed subject of the video was hardly even mentioned. I would watch more of his stuff if his A.D.D. ass would actually stay focused for a minute or two.

I watch his reviews while I'm working out, so I'm not devoting all my mind to it, and it's a good way to pass the time.

Dude....why like R U hatin' on my bro Nutnfancy?????????????

LOL, seriously I tried watching some videos and I just wish he would stay on subject and stop going on all the rabbit trails.  Nothing against him but I want hard facts, not his opinion on gear.  :)

I made it through this, like most of his videos. Honestly I don't mind him that much, The tangents can get a little boring, but overall I don't find him too irritating. My biggest gripe with him is the arrogance that sometimes spikes, and the fact that he can't get enough of his screenname, it's always "The review BY NUTNFANCY!" "Undergoing testing by me, NUTNFANCY!" Yeah, we know who's making the video thanks, you don't need to remind us every minute.

I guess I like his videos more than most folks.  Compare his delivery to that of the average reviewer whose videos are full of pauses, "uh . . ," more pauses, no voice inflection and poor camera work.

I appreciate Nutnfancy's strange combination of warrior-nerd, and his passion for his toys - which I share.  He clearly loves what he's doing, and I find that passion infectious.  I understand how a Type-A personality is not for everyone, but its real easy to avoid him too.  But count me as a fan.

I quite like his videos. Tbh I know what I want and i'd trust the opinions of this forum above his but I still like watching reviews of tools just to see what others thought. His Charge review was quite good.

I'm not certain if I would "trust" our reviews over his or vice versa.  Reviews are opinions, and like movie reviews, you need to try and find a reviewer with similar tastes to your own.  As this forum proves on a daily basis, everyone has their own preferences, and if Nutnfancy's reviews (or anyone else's) help someone make an informed choice then so much the better.

OMG, this guy is so lame. Never on the point, talking about everything but the review subject, mentioning his own name every 3 seconds or so...

While I like to watch reviews, I can not watch this guy.

As arrogant as he comes off (is?), I do think in general his heart is in the right place. Beyond that for the most part he does generally know what he's talking about, and his opinions on multis are in many cases very close to my own. He's certainly not "wrong", and he does put out a lot of good info, but his presentation and personality is just so grating. Stop mentioning yourself and your "project" every other sentence, stay on topic for more than 12 seconds at a time, and for the love of all that is holy, stop repeating crap you've said in every other review ever (you think the Charge is God, we know). If his videos were half their length by cutting out all the B.S., I would subscribe and watch every video he makes, but since he prefers to act like a douche, I'll wait for Def to start a youtube channel instead.

I do wanna add something else however. A lot of us here spend a lot of time raggin on Nutnfancy. But how many of us have tried to actually do better? We may not like the guy, but he IS far more prolific, pro-active, and "professional" than anybody else out there when it comes to making videos on multis. We may not like how he goes about it, but there is nobody else out there that actually does any better. His videos may be obnoxious, but they are a better avenue for learning about multis in a video format than anything else out there. Just something to consider.

The way I see it:
his reviews are set up for novice or people with lots of decision making anxiety.  Most people who find themselves posting on a forum about guns, knives, or multitools are not novice and have already formed opinions about the product he is reviewing / are familiar with the product.

For me, when I buy something, I already know about it so I just search forums similar to this to see if the product met buyer's expectations.

Well, I have a very strong suspicion he visits these forums. When he first started out making his multi-tool videos, I caught a few of our members comments and mine in a few of his reviews. He definitely does his research.

His delivery is ok with me. I don't much care about repeating his moniker all the time, but I guess he figures his audience has ADD or something (joking). Either way, my  :salute: for his making videos on multi-tools in the first place. His delivery may prance around all over the place, but what info he does give you is usually well informed.

Def is right, reviews here are personal comments and experiences. You have to read many reviews to sort out what you want, and expect from a particular tool. That is why lots of photographs help. You can ignore the verbal diarrhea and focus on the tools for a closer look and make your own conclusions based on those alone if needed.  :D

Maybe thats the wrong word. I'd come and ask the opinions of people on this forum because I feel I know you better and I can get more detail. I think a forum gives a better idea because you can see lots of different opinions.

Amici,
I also enjoy his video reviews, and I especially remember the acolytes he gave for the Swisstool and the Spirit. His Charge review was also spot on, and yes he can be quite the gas bag at times, but even this I find entertaining..

Cheers,
Serge

Pretty sure you mean "accolades" not "acolytes" WAY different words lol. His Swisstool review was the first his first video I ever saw when I was doing homework on the tool, it went a long way towards convincing me to buy one. Still, the rambling.
