I buy Japanese Cars, US Multitools, Swiss Knives, Asian food, and UK Candy.
No one can say I'm not destroying my own country and sending money that would go into our schools, hospitals and defence/emergency forces instead to overseas corporations!

Where was I going?
oh yes, onto the much-covered ground, deja vu all over again

I buy Australian clothes. It costs me a smurfload, and the quality is LOWER than that of competing brands made in china, as, for whatever reasons (labour, land costs, setup of machinery etc) the (previously Australian Made) companies that have chosen to take their manufacturing to china, can produce a high end, quality product at the same cost a company insisting on Australian manufacture can produce a mediocre one.
Huh....
(in many ways it's neither here nor there for me, as most of our "Australian" brands are now owned by US or European companies anyway, so the profits are leaving the country in any case)
It's all well and good for you Yanks to get hot and bothered over the subject, but for those of us in backwater countries,
Sara Lee (US) and Unilever (Europe) own all our consumer products, and GM (US), Ford (US) and Toyota (Japan) own all our cars.
I believe Justin Timberlake (That would be an American that made a few bob out of Aussie girl's pocket money) had a song about this...
Starts with "Cry" and rhymes with "me a river"

And onto the point of some of the Crap that does come out of shoddy chinese factories (or any factories)
You only have you (or your brother, sister, wife, uncle, husband, daughter, etc) to blame for that. If you'd stop buying cacky rubbish they'd stop making it.
