Well, that hit on Horton may well be the turning point. Despite all their shots on goal, the Canucks looked a bit sloppy, and Thomas was amazing yet again. I liked that Billy Smith-style slash on Burrows by him in the 3rd, nothing wrong with protecting your crease.

Should be a fun one tonight, can't wait. Some people I talked to seemed surprised that Luongo is getting the start, but I'm not. You stick with your #1. Lord knows I've seen Marty Brodeur get lit up enough times....

Two minutes left in the first and it looks like home ice has woken Luongo up a bit. Let's hope he keeps it up- regardless of which team you are supporting, the last couple of games were really crappy to watch.

lotsa scoring, I was way off! whatda you Canadians got a tariff on goals up there!

great goal tending again, for all the questions before the game Luongo sure had the answers during and after.

Boston is like; "why didn't they start Cory Schneider!"

my question is, how can a west side (coast) team out hit (47 to 27) a east side team that has been checking like...an East Coast Team?!

I honestly thought they both would be that physical.

Vancouver's a heckuva lot faster team on the forecheck, something they got away from in all the stupidity surrounding the games in Boston. With support in their own zone, the 'Nucks defense was able to get the puck out a lot faster so Boston didn't have the chance to hit nearly as much.

I'm thinking there has to be a problem with the ice in Boston, because any team that makes it this far can't play that good two nights, play awful two nights, then play good again. There's got to have been some other factor affecting things, and I'm thinking the different consistency of the ice in Boston would slow down a visiting team while the Bruins would be used to it. Better ice somewhere else would just help the Bruins.

At least that's my guess.

From what I've read, the ice in Boston is very slushy and slow because of cooling problems related to the most recent heatwave. Since Vancouver relies so much on it's speed and passing game it's a definite advantage for Boston.
Vancouver's ice, on the other hand, is extremely good - Vancouver's ice maker has been the ice maker for the last two Winter Olympics in North America (Salt Lake City in 2002 and Vancouver in 2010).

It's been verified that the Canucks' Mason Raymond has a vertebral compression fracture after the hit by Johnny Boychuk last night.

Two players injured on interference calls, both will miss significant amounts of time.

The difference? The Bruins' player isn't likely to get a suspension.

Why a suspension? I have been Keeping quiet but have been watching this thread very carefully. There was no hit. He just rode him in the boards. It is hockey. I get a kick out of the Diving that takes place and Romes comment that he would do that hit again. But they seem to forget all the trash they talk and the Punk hockey they play. Well there may be vegetarians on the team and Thomas cant play like Luango(thank God) but remember who started the crap.

Nope no cheap shot 3 seconds after open Ice, or biting and joking after, but hey the Canucks will take the oscar and the gold in Diving.

Oh ya and lets talk about the fans in Boston. I was at game 3 and there was no issues with any Canuck fans. I find it funny and we all laugh at reports of Urinating on people. NEVER happened. There are 3 Cops in every restroom. Not to mention. IT would also get you labeled as a sex offender here in Boston.

Not to mention I am really ripped that Luango removed me from his twitter feed. All I did is say that Quit your !@tching about all the Thomas love. You cant compeate and you never will. Enjoy your press now!

I find it hillarious that Montreal fans have been comong here for years and never had any issues. And trust me the Canucks really arnt on our radar as much as the Canadians!

Oh and lastly... Notice when the Bruins win? After Canuck press conference when they go the low road and start the insults and jokes. If they are smart they wont poke the Bears in the next 24 hrs. However Thomas has them cranked over the Loango comments. He broke the Goalies code. I loved it when during warmups Thomas shot the puck into the Canuck net from center ice and laughed.

Well in any case, tonight's the big night. I'm truly gutted Montreal lost to Boston in game 7 overtime... 1 goal... I really hope this game is clearer. That, and that the cup goes home to Canada of course!

Also I must point out my mom is a big Boston Fan, so either way, someone in my family will be happy...
