  • You're amongst friends.
Several months ago, I had a tentative trade with a user on here for a limited edition SAK.  This item, infact was supposed to be sent to me from another MTO member.  I made a trade on deferment with Gadget Guy that I would have it sent to him and we'd figure out a trade at a later date to make it even.  After some time had passed, instead of them sending it to GG at my request, instead of to me, it arrived at my home.  I contacted GG and let him know it arrived and as I recall, he then asked what I wanted for it.  As it had turned out, he didn't have anything I wanted to trade for, so in need of cash, I didn't think to offer it to him for money as it had been my experience with him that he never purchased and only traded.  I informed him I was selling the knife to another member.

Bottom line, I let greed get the best of me and lost sight of how important this knife was to John.  I wish I could have it to do over, as John has had me on ignore ever since, not allowing me a chance to make it right or even apologize.  I've had several dealings with him and every transaction was great with even added extras.

I ask that someone please encourage Gadget Guy to read this apology and I will respect his decision either way.

I'm sincerely sorry, John, for how I handled things and it's been eating at my conscience ever since.

- Steve

Way to man up, technically I don't see where you actually did anything wrong, but I admit it was in bad form and was unfortunate.  I think this will work out in the end, given your heartfelt apology I would hope so.

Do me a favor, PM me the model of the SAK he wanted.  I too have had some fantastic trades with GG.
:)
