It's always fun when the boss gets lit!

I will be joining the ranks of the wasted tomorrow whilst watching football all day.  Get ready for some ranting, as my sundays never go the way I pick them to.  Stupid football pools.

My then to post in this ttherad.  I was again a wedding for my wife's cousin or something and I had a couple of hers before the reception, then during the meal I told the waitress to keep the wine coming and god bless her she did.

Anyways I have no idea how many times my glass was refilled  but I counted at least four ornfive.  Anyways, I am pretty far gone but I suppose that's obvouhs fro. Me spelling.   Thankfully auto correct is probably keeping PST of it legible.

Anyways, feel free to poke fun at me .... I imagine tomorrow morning I'll have a lot to apologize for the? 7*-5 as well include a few forum.posts....

Actually it wasn't that bad. Not great either though as there are few members of my wife's family that I get along with... hence the drinking.

I was in no condition to operate my computer last night. It's now 9:00am and I still have a bit of a wobble on. Just trying to fend off the onset of a hangover with sausages and fruit juice

As I said to Ryan on facebook he has to try some lager from Nøgne Ø http://www.nogne-o.com/ I really like their Blonde ale because you can taste the hops. I really would like some weissbier right now but I am broke so I have to make du with a bottle of Southern Comfort that I had laying around.
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

My wife has found a new beer for me, and it's under $5 for 2l of it!   You have to add the yeast, then wait 12-14 days before it's ready.  They have a bunch of different kinds, but I've only tried two so far.

That's quite a fun idea, you get to be 'involved' in the process and the company cut's it's overheads as it doesn't have to worry about storing the beer for two weeks. :D

I would love to try it, beer is expensive!!

I have been trying some microbrews lately, namely Big Sky brews like Moosedrool and Trout Slayer, and Bayern Octoberfest.  Big sky also makes a sweet honey ale called Summer honey and it's incredible.

Yesterday I went to the Griz Game with some friends and we met at a bar later and had two pitchers of Kettlehouse Cold Smoke, and that's my new favorite dark beer.  You have got to try it!  I was so drunk after that pitcher that I passed out on my bed once we got home.  I wanted to post here but I couldn't stop the room from spinning.

Making beer is easy and if you want to save money take a look at the cost of my last batch of Belgian Blonde Ale.  $23 for 5 gallons.  That works out to $9.20 per case or $2.30 per six pack.

It is pretty cool actually!!  I'm not sure what the alcohol content is in it, but it definitely does seem stronger than store bought beer!!   :drink:

Yeah, my wife has been after me for ever to start making my own beer and wine.  I have everything needed to get started, just never really looked into it that much.  After doing this though, I might start thinking about it a little more.

Yeah it's crazy what beer costs!!

Hmm, I'll have to see if we'd be able to get that here.  I've heard that sometimes the Liquor store will bring in different drinks, but I've never tried it.

Here's a link to the Mister Beer page http://www.bottlebrew.com/.  I'm not sure if you can get it in the US or not, but I would imagine that there's something like it there.

That's what I'm talking about.  How long do you have to let it sit before you can drink it?

That depends on the style, type of yeast used, temperature, whether it is kegged or bottled, naturally or forced cabonated and most importantly, how much patience I have at the time.

I have drank beer that was less than a week old and there are others that I have aged for months.  Usually if I am using my keg it will be ready to drink a few days after I put it in the keg, if I bottle it I'll usually wait at least 2-3 weeks.

We are considering doing our own wine this winter. My wife's uncle makes his own in western Pa. The weather in Texas wouldn't allow for year round aging though.
