A used Rebar, with leather and regular black sheaths.

Good score Yadda!     :like:    I carry a Rebar regularly except on STS and SCS.      :D

Thanks David!  Good price on it too. Making it even better.  :D

The extra sheath will come in handy.  I have a lot of sheathless tools. I plan on carrying this one in my backpack.  I have a BO Rebar, but just never seemed to get around to carrying it because I got it new.   :dunno:

The Rebar is, more or less, my main Leatherman. These days, I don't even think the ST300 is worth the extra weight.  I rarely even use a sheath with it as it carries pretty well in a pocket.

I plan to get a Coyote frame/BO Tools and locks version for my collection.

Sizeable order from the US Antonini distributor, who is retiring, and marking stuff down to insanely low prices. Free shipping over $50, so I tried to stay within that range, at $54 total, but may have went a little overboard. Last time, I bought probably 5-6 of the cheaper ones.  I like Antonini, as they are Italian made, but in general, pretty inexpensive workhorses.

ARAXL/MIS Professional Search and Rescue Knife Micarta Handle; $13.  Figure this will be a rather heavy-duty cutter with the blunt tip hawkbill blade. Surprised the aluminum handled versions sold out earlier. I kinda like micarta better.

MAMBA RQE/BLK Professional Search and Rescue Knife with Sheath. $22. I wanted the spear-point version, which was out of stock. However, when dealing with livestock, blunt tips can save your backside. Micarta handle, 440A full-tang blade.  Partially serrated, square tip with belt cutter. Sheath is made by Vega Holster, a leading Italian military and police supply firm. So hopefully, sturdy and will last years; not "lucky if it lasts a summer" as my luck usually is with nylon. This was something like a $200 knife originally.

7231/LA Antonini Fishing & Yachting Knife with Marlin Spike.  $10. I badly needed a new marlinspike for working with rope. My old ones are relics of the Canadian Navy, and hail from WWI and the 1950s. The 1950s Metal Stampings Ltd. has a broken backspring that causes the spike to wobble like crazy, but still soldiers on as my rope knife. Finally, it can be retired.

863G Antonini Fishing Knife with PTFE Coated Blade 84mm. Last time I  bought an "84mm" Antonini thinking it was SAK sized. It was a big knife, not a little folder.  They use blade size, not handle.  It's actually 4.25" closed. Tape and pine tar goo can be a pain to remove. Being PTFE coated, this should resist it. Yellow handle too, making it idiot proof.

9720/22FL Antonini Full-Arch Pruning Knife with Brown ABS Handle 100mm. I lost a smaller version of this knife (about three inches closed) working on the farm. Bought two of a bigger, roughly 4" version since they were $2 each. They have some nice carbon steel blades. The full pruner arch is a much more aggressive cutter than the more gentile hawkbill arch.

A lot of hand tools including: two Vise-grip Pliers. Three hammers, two partial socket sets with boxes, screw driver holder, 6 screwdrivers, chisel drill bits for a brace, punch, and several other items.  All told I have less than a $1 in each item so I feel pretty good about the purchase.

:like: I think I'm gonna do this myself. I like the basic idea of the Havalon Evolve, but from what I understand, it is a pretty poor quality tool for the money. I'm replacing the main blade of my 2017 Wave with the scalpel holder, and upgrading the serrated blade to the Charge version; as to gain the strap cutter/gut hook of the Evolve.

And I might end up adding the hammer to my Skeletool.  That one add-on seems to fix several issues I have with the tool, especially in that I can't use the bit driver with the tool closed.

and going to replace the normal blade for now
Just need to find something to replace the serrated
blade so I can make my Wave UK knife legal  :tu:

I'm hopeful that somewhere there's an Alox MiniChamp on the way.

The boss lady told me yesterday that she had ordered my birthday present, but that it may bé after the middle of May.

I've just had a splurge on small appliances.

My slow cooker has a metal pot, so it can be dropped on the hob for searing meat, or wilting onions, but the non-stick coating is starting to come away. It very rarely used it that way anyway, so I've ordered a 6 litre replacement cooker with ceramic pot instead. A replacement pot for the original wasn't much cheaper, and it would likely develop the same issues again anyway.

I've also ordered a 5 litre multi cooker. This means that I can slow cook two different batches at the same time. I can also cook (steam) rice with better power efficiency than I can on the gas hob. Other stuff too, probably. In fact it'll probably pay for itself in a year, just on power savings.

Finally, to make life easier for myself in the kitchen, I've ordered a food processor. I've wanted on for a while, as doing everything manually can be a real challenge, health wise. I stumbled on a good deal for one that comes complete with a blender jug, spice mill, and juicer, as well as the regular chop, grate, mix and knead functions.

All three together cost me less than a Leatherman Wave (over here), and will get regular use with the way I cook. Not all multi-function tools can be pocket carried :D

I always do :D I've been batch cooking my own soups, stews, stocks, curries, chilli, and pasta sauces for years anyway - by far the cheapest way of cooking meals for one - but now it will be much easier :)

Ok, I couldn't resist it.

I've ordered a Pioneer in the LE 2020 Aqua Blue on-line, from the Vic' (UK) website (£47) along with a neckstrap (£2) and a red lanyard (£1) That way I qualified for free delivery by spending £50 (saving a whole £1.95  :woohoo:)

Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to arrive  :dunno: (I have particular issues getting items delivered to my address)

I just wish they'd do a Pioneer X and Farmer (X) as standard! Come on Vic'  :pok:
They don't like it up 'em!
