O.K. Who likes to fish?
on: August 16, 2006, 04:22:14 AM
I love to fish and living in Vancouver we have a plethora of choices, within a couple of hours I can fish for trout, bass, salmon, carp, steelhead, bull trout, halibut, rock fish ie:bottom fish, crawfish(crawdads to some folks),black crappie, sturgeon(up to 10 ft),pumpkinseed.....hell the list goes on and on...........I like to fish with all sorts of gear and methods from flyfishing to bottom fishing to spin fishing to baitcasting, you name it I've done it.
And of course when fishing you have to take some sort of knife and a multi of some sort..........another excuse to use a multi!!!

So does any of my fellow multi nuts engage in sportfishing and if so what kind and species are your fav's and what multi do you take with you?

Kap

I usually take my Charge along with a pocket size sak of some sort.........unless I am Salmon or Ocean fishing then I also take along my fav Fillet Knife CRKT'S Big Eddie.

I like to stick to beerfishing.  That's where you sit in a boat all day with all your fishing gear and a few drinks 9possibly some friends) and you hope to hell no fish ruins it for you by biting on your line!

Beerfishing is good too!Last time I went fishing was for salmon and I got me a 40 pounder!I was so exhausted after reeling that sucker in (45 minute fight that must have covered close to a mile of river!) that I had to get a friend to clean and fry it while I took a nap!
I prefer small and large mouth bass cause they can put up a decent fight but just enough to get the blood pumping without killing you!

I fish for Catfish, Bass (small and largemouth), Walleye, Pike, Muskie.  Of course there's the occasional Bluegill and Crappie.

My favorite fishing is Bass--they are just great fun with the fight they give.  My favorite eating is a tie between Walleye and Catfish.

The Spirit is always on my hip when I'm fishing.  The scissors are very handy.
