Secrets of SEAL Team 6

I saw a special on A&E last night detailing many of the weapons, tactics and equipment used by SEAL Team 6. They showed a SEAL using the diamond file on what looked to be a Leatherman Wave or Charge to sharpen a fighting knife.

And if you want to read about the creation of Seal Team 6. Get the original book Rogue Warrior, by Richard Marcinko. It is a kick a$$ book!!

No doubt. I have read every book that he wrote. Highly recommended. As for the show, it was one of the best that I have seen. It gave a lot of intel of the bin Laden mission. They said that ST6 basically has an open check to buy what they want. I was not surprised to see one using a Leatherman.

I don't know how to post pics, but I saw a picture of fallen SEAL Team 6 member Aaron Vaughn who had a Leatherman Wave in his vest prior to dying in the helicopter crash the other night. I will attempt to post the pic.

No doubt. God Bless them all. SEAL Team 6 basically has damn near a blank check to try out all new goods. What they like trickles down to the rest of the SEAL Teams. These gun, equipment and outfitter companies cater to them like Nike caters to athletes. If a Leatherman is good enough for SEAL Team 6, well, I'll trust it. These guys have their lives on the line.

It's a great endorsement for Leatherman but remember SEALS are the real McGyvers. They are trained to get themselves out of any jam with just a rubber band and a bottle cap. These guys are truly the best of the best. My heart goes out to the families of these outstanding men who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
