Meh, they could be better but thanks.  :) They are 3 pieces, 5 if you count the 2 rivet pins. I cut them out of .030" sheet, epoxied them together, drilled 2 holes for the rivets, broke everything apart and finish sanded and tweaked the slight bends, riveted them together, sanded the rivets flush, shaped the grabby end aaaaaaand rounded the head. They should have been .020 sheet so they would fit in a standard cellidor slot depth but they sure do hold tight. You can sort of make out where the 2 rivets hold the 2 pieces of the toothpick together.

Wow.
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I've been up all night putting this together. Still have to sand the rivets down flush and polish the sides. Soooooo close...

Gorgeous mate, simply gorgeous.   Are you using little washers between the springs/tools and the liners?

The aluminum liners have stamped raised areas to keep the tools from rubbing on them so I made phosphor bronze washers with a little stamping fixture that I also made. That blade is one of the thicker  pre '07 ones with the crossbow stamp and was a little scratched so it got hand rubbed down to 2000 grit and Flitz polished. The only marks on it are the ever present fingerprints.

The holes are punched out of .005" phosphor bronze strips and then cut into squares which get stacked onto a dremel sanding drum mandrel and run against a belt sander until they are all round and the same diameter. Then they get run against 320 and 600 grit silicon carbide paper until the edges are polished.

The pliers layer before washers are applied, and my little orange G10 and titanium Classic that I made the titanium tweezers and toothpick for in the background.

Final opener layer. The 1/8" hole washers fit perfectly onto a sanding drum shaft and the smaller back tool washers fit the threaded portion of the screw on the end of the shaft so it works out very well.

 I totally have it in a little satin lined jewelry box which is locked up inside a Pelican case just for good measure. I can't take a decent picture of it but the polish came out like glass and I'm terrified that anything that touches it is going to scratch it.  Every surface in my house seems unreasonably abrasive right now. :ahhh

It's so shiny the laser will reflect and etch a shield in the laser etcher itself!
