A bit late but, some pictures taken whilst out walking in the Derbyshire Peak District last week, with SWMBO, daughter and a load of Maxpedition gear :D

It was a bit damp, but another beautiful spot for walking.

These are some of the shots I took while in Jasper several weekends ago doing a camping trip with a university club, I went was with the group that climbed both days.

(Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)]
The view of Pyramid Mountain, where we parked and from the base of the crag, named Juno.
(Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)]
Only shot I took of a full scene of climbing, 27m long route. Hike out was super gnarly to look at.
(Image removed from quote.)
Nice shot of the view from climbing day 2. This crag was called Lost Boys.
(Image removed from quote.) (Image removed from quote.)]
Big man Senan leading overhanging 5.10c, Colin easin' up 5.10b on a new rope.
(Image removed from quote.)
Decent shot right before dark of Mount Robson

No, unfortunately no one would take any pictures of me climbing, but that's okay. The long route is my friend Minetta being belayed by Edward, and the other 2 are the guys that taught me to climb, Senan and Colin. Both are just awesome, but totally different styles. I like Senan's style, skip the technical bologna with a big reach move, which works for me since I am 6'2" and pretty strong. :D

We don't have snow here even - it's just dull. :(

Weather permitting, I should get some nice North Wales coastal shots on New Year's Day :tu:

Well, my intended adventure in North Wales fell victim to the weather and a few other "reasons", so I had to content myself with a short walk locally today. It was a bit overcast but managed to get a few pics that are passable.

First we had to get past the Swans that were defending the bridge. The mother here is chasing some other walker she didn't like the look of, so we were able to sneak past :D

This former stately home was a nursing home until recently, when it became a private residence again (by someone with a lot of money I guess)! The Church belongs to the house I believe, and is something like 800 years old and still used. Most people have a shed in their back garden  :P

Looking back to "Swangate"

Quite an impressive back garden this place had:

Some partially frozen water

Nice pics Dave

I'm currently skiing a CRAZY snowstorm in Revelstoke, BC. About a foot so far in the past bit. I will maybe post some pics if I feel the need to stop skiing for a second :D

Still getting bits of snow here, enough that I haven't seen my lawn since before Christmas.  Pretty unusual TBH, normally if we get snow at all it's only for a couple of days, not weeks. :-\

Took some pics on the way to a job this morning.  First was through a very dirty windshield, but I opened up the driver's side window for a second to take the other two.

Not the best pics but I thought some may enjoy....
