I don't know if you guys have noticed but the serrated blade found on the heavy duty LM tools ( i.e Core and Surge) are far more agressive then those found on the Charge/Wave2004.. Just thought it would be interesting!

What makes them more aggressive? Is it the depth of serrations, the pitch, the grind,or is it just one of those intangibles you just can't quite put your finger on,but you know it's there?

HaHa, I was meaning to explain this but I had to go see a family member: the depth of the serrations.. If I had a SURGE I would take a pic- but not until SpoonRobots gets here there shall be no pics!

I have an old Wave and a Surge in front of me now- the pattern is the same but the cuts look deeper and more pronounced in the Surge but then the Wave has seen much more use over the years.

But you do have a Charge! Take a look at both blades and you will immediately see the difference.

The Charge Ti looks about the same as my old Wave.

Oh I see. But once my SURGE gets here from Spoon I will be sure to take a pic.. The serrated blade has to be my favorite implement on a multitool. Takes a long time to get dull!

The last time that I picked up a Surge I noticed that the serrations looked more heavy duty.  However, it could be an optical illusion.

It does make sense though.  Heavy duty tool gets the heavy duty serration.

I guess that it was designed that way for a reason.  Nobody would buy the Surge unless they had a need for it.  And heavy duty tasks require heavy duty tools.

Ya, I agree the surges are more aggressive. When I had one it kept getting into bar fights. My charge likes to smell flowers instead.
