Sort of, but not quite. I'd feel much more confident twisting a very tough screw with the UTA than the bit extender.Def
I don't get the Surge. What's wrong with a Wave?It might be fine enough for de-evolution men like 123 with their hairy knuckles and yellow fingernails, but for us regular chaps the Surge, and I suppose the Core are a wee bit hefty. If I wanted pliers like that I'd just carry some decent Linies.
Haha. The reason I carry a SURGE is because: it has oho blades, big blades, swappable file and saw ( I use the diamond files a lot), accepts T-Shank blades aka Bosch blades, nice big awl, stranded wirecutter, huge scissors, and I really like the bit driver- because I could have 42 screwdrivers in a pouch!
I believe the only differences are in colour. The BO one does look real nice.

You got it baby, a SURGE!! Man, that thing is BIG! I love the interchangeable saw/file. It came with the nylon sheath but I see you can get both the leather or nylon sheaths directly from Leatherman for only $6 each. They also have replacement saw/file sets w/pouch for only $5! I can't wait to play with this monster. Calvin
