I just don't understand why Canada doesn't design (or perhaps build off of an ally's design) their own subs too, though... I mean Canada should technically be asking for their money back from England for their latest "subs;" sloppy seconds isn't really nice when it comes to a peacekeeping, underwater vessel. Hooray for some new ships down the line, though.

Hooray for some new ships down the line, though. No one in Canada understands that either...Although the subs we bought from the British are lethally effective- they've already killed one of our sailors. When we figure out how to aim them, imagine how dangerous they'll be to the bad guys?It amazes me we are spending money on used diesel subs when Canada is now and always has been a world leader in nuclear power.Def
Up until yesterday we were having a bad time too. Shipyards have had problems all over since Navies in general aren't expanding nearly as much as air and ground forces. I don't think there has been a significant naval battle wince WWII has there?Def
There's a justification to spend billions of dollars on new aircraft carriers if ever there was one- after all, three guys in a patchwork dinghy with AK47's are a serious threat! Def
How about a submarine with a bunch of sharp points?Def
