Nice!  The early chamois may also have been available on the 08 Ranger (with phillips). Have a picture of the 07 with an inlay showing the phillips, but not the handle.

Have several New Rangers with the new version of the chamois: Hardwoods 57, New Ranger 57, New Ranger Clip 67.

Back to Victorinox. Have a picture in the notebooks of several Hunters with other game animals on the handle (ibex, capercaillie). Think they were done for some big annual Swiss hunting show. No info or recollection on who posted the photo.

Can any of the Wegner aficionados help me identify this older gem... Some other gents have pegged it around the 40s but no thoughts yet on a model, etc....

The three-faced logo in the third photo is pre-World War II, though I don't have a definitive date range. Some sources say its a stylized Matterhorn.

Just received this nice little knife.
I usually don't buy this kind of knives, but ..... hey, how could I miss Wenger making a knife to commemorate its own town of Delémont?
This commemorative for the 700 years of the Ville de Delémont (1289-1989) should not be confused with the more comon commemoratives for the 700 years of the Swiss Confederation (1291-1991), which were made two years later, in 1991.

I don't know the model name sorry. There are some similar knives in this thread and over here. I would start hunting through google images for more info.

Nice find!
I have one too, that I bought back in 2012
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,32456.msg657624.html#msg657624
I remember that, despite being listed on ebay Italy (where usually Wenger knives don't get much attention), it was quite an expensive purchase.
Mine was a mint model with the original box, but I suspect there are a lot of watch collectors who buy everything related to watch brands.

Mine is without a box, but still went for substantially less than I expected it to.

Basilio suggested I repost these over here....I've included the conversation so far.

Mail call....

Wenger Mustang (no imprint)

and

Pre '75 Highlander?  Instead of a keyring, it has a hole in the liner and a S shaped wire loop attachment.  Can anyone nail the ID down for me?

Could you repost the pictures in the "Wenger topic"?
I'm not so expert on very old models, so perhaps Coloswiss could answer you on the second knife.
The first one is actually interesting.
There are few things that make me thinking about a possible no-Mustang option.
The tweezers I can see on the front scale (Mustang had none)
The newer type corkscrew (4 turns), while the Mustang usually had the older 5-turns type.
Because of the corkscrew, could be a cyclist (european version) with the scales replaced.
How is the back scale?
Is there the "patent pending" inscription on the cap lifter (which should lock)? Mustang had the older type.

The back scale is plain red, cut for a tooth pic. The cap lifter is locking but with the single word "Patent". I only thought it was a Mustang because it was like my Cyclist but had a clip secondary instead of the file on the Cyclist.

At the end of 2013, lot of Wenger collectors wanted to own one of this knife.

This knife of the forum "Fan du Couteau Suisse" was the last serial of knives made by Wenger in december 2013...

One of these 70 knives is actualy for sale on ebay, I want to clarify that neither me nor the vendor (my friend Robert Moix) wins money on this sale. This knife is offered for sale only to help somebody who needs money.

I think a collector could be interested.

This 3 faces logo was one of differents stamps of "Coutellerie Suisse", it  seems to have appeared in 1895 (Wenger information). When Wenger bought "Coutellerie Suisse" in 1908, the new brand continued to use this stamp until the 1950s, but only occasionally.

Yes, that's standard on this model. http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+1.74.10
