Wenger gets so confusing

The Wiki page says the Master has a Phillips - Although does mention a corkscrew option!!
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Master
I guess I had better put that 16904 product code against the Master too

Then there is also the S52
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=EVO+S52

Discussing Wenger is always entertaining.  Not only that, but I applied for the SAKWiki user badge since friend Huntsman was kind enough to use my catalog photo to update the SAKWiki pages on Wenger Master and S52.  Best wishes.  Gary

^^^ Officially you are meant to do the edit yourself.
However as this discussion provided a new pic (now the main pic on the Master page) and resulted in a significant clarification of the S52/S585 and Master pages the badge is awarded - Congratulations and thanks.

Hey, congrats Gary! That's so cool! I would absolutely love to do some editing on the Wiki. I've found some things that I think would warrant changing but I've never been able to figure out how to use it. Every time I try to log in to edit it bounces me and says login invalid. Just as an aside does anyone know whether it's possible to log into the sakwiki using one's MTO login info?

You have to ask me if you can be an editor!
First you need a SAKWiki userid - Which is a separate ID - But we use the same ID identifier as we use at MTo
ie It would also be Tuisto in your case.
Once the ID is created it can be upgraded to editor.

This is explained in the Wiki Help screens:
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=SAKWiki+Help#Interested_in_becoming_a_SAKWiki_editor_
Let me know if it makes sense.

The requesting of an ID via the Wiki screens is a little contorted/problematic at the moment, as you have discovered

My only two Wengers:
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
with two radically different use cases:
- the Nail Clip EvoGrip 580 travels with me everywhere in the toiletry bag,
- the Eloxy 21 leaves the drawer maybe once every 10 years.

Hello, I’ve been trying desperately to send you a message on SAKWiki, but it keeps failing due to an 'incomplete CAPTCHA' error. How can I successfully send my request? I apologize for reaching out via this post; it was the only way I could find to get in touch. Thank you.
Best regards,
Pierre

Is hoarding a sign of love for Wenger or just plain gluttony?

I already had a EKA Wenger Executive Major - pictures shown here earlier...

Today I picked up two more.

You would be the judge - love or gluttony?!

Love those wooden handled Wengers

I wish Victorinox has retained the Wenger creative/product development  department when they switched Wenger off.
The Realtree family were another favourite of mine - Now defunct      :(

PS. @J2000 - Not hoarding - You can't have too much of a good thing - And/or one user and one back up/shelf queen

Thanks for your support! ;-)

I am contemplating "destroying" one of them. I am not fond of the finish - some kind of hard varnish layer that takes away the most of the wood feeling.

Do not get me wrong - I love a good old fashioned varnish (I been into vintage wooden boats all my life) - but this is like a hard 2k finish.

I might sand one of them down. And while at it re-shape the scales to fit the liners - a more rounded contour. Lastly - just oil the wood.

Tought love maybe?!

Extreme measures so you can’t be accused of hoarding?  ???  :pok: ;)

But seriously I get that and it sounds like a great idea.
Although I guess would take it closer to the regular wooden scaled Wengers.

Does a drawer full constitute hoarding?  Asking for a friend.

I have the Wenger Wood 03.  Eventually I'd like to collect all of them but they're hard to come by at a reasonable price.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

You know, I don't think I've ever seen another wood-handled Wenger.
Several of the Evolution 85mm models were available with walnut handles - I have an EvoWood 14 - It's beautiful!!

Here is a link to the S557 page with the wooden scaled option -
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Delemont+Evolution+S557
Admittedly it is the Delémont version - But it is a direct equivalent of the Wenger wooden handled S557

Also the Ranger 55 was, and is (Delémont) available w wooden handles

PS. And here's the page for the wooden handled models above
https://sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+and+EKA+-+Wood+Collection
