CRKT Eros

Anyone got one? Any thoughts, reviews?

I've seen some... colourful... descriptions of CRKT's quality and workmanship. I love the look of this knife, but I'm unsure if I should invest the cash.

I've carried CRKTs for 10+ years and have no issues with them. Their warranty service is also absolutely first-rate, on par with Kershaw and Leatherman, so if you do have issues you'll be taken care of.

CRKT did have a dark period in the mid-late 2000s in terms of build quality, but that's been resolved with the newer production runs of the last 2-3 years. They've also been using better steel across the line.

If you like the looks of the Eros, go for it - I've yet to read a bad review on either the Ripple or Eros. Both Ken Onion designs, both IKBS knives (and the Ripples I've handled just fly open), and the steel is supposed to be on par with 154CM.

That's good to know. CRKT seem to take the attitude of "build it and they will come". If someone designs something, they'll make it, no matter how weird or crazy.

That's my kind of thinking, and why they appeal to me.

That and the Eros is just damn sexy - but very hard to get, it seems.
