I have a couple of those old Swedish made Sailors Barrel knives which I am thinking of letting go are they worth anything in trade against a LM MT or a Gerber MT ???

I would love to be able to put one on Ebay but alas UK Ebay stopped most if not all Knife sells of most kinds so I thought you Guys may know someone who collects them or likes to own one ?

Ray if they are old Swedish made barrel knives , mate they can go for quite a bit :o :o.

I would like one but they tend to go for well over $100us on Ebay.
Yep if you could get them on Ebay they could be quite nice earners for you
There is always EDCSource

Entirely up to you mate
You could do a 'buy it now' kinda deal like what Tim/Felinevet does or you could have a reserve price  & have a low starting bid see what happens   if it does not make reserve no harm done. There are many options mate , Neil might be able to help you out with how EDCSource options work , I am more of a buyer than a seller  ::) ::) ::) :D :D :D

Right so what I could do I suppose is try to trade/swap one for a LM Charge TTi if there that kinda value or would that be asking too much in a MT trade for one Barrel Knife ??? 8)

Here is the one I had a go at cleaning up but as I was not sure what to use as I did not want to make it worse then when I started, if anyone has any ideas on what to use on the barrel section and knife parts I would have another go at cleaning them up.

Or you want these as a renovation project if your into that side of knife collecting I am at a loss where to start with them really as you can see there very old.

These Barrel Knives are quite collectable and getting hard to find, you will be able to trade it but you'd be better off selling as you might end up with more than you'd of thought, then do what you want :tu: Other than lightly cleaning them with a bit of light oil on the metal parts and a gentle polish on the wood, don't do anything else to them, unless you decide to keep them. Here's a pic of a copy, recently traded :tu:

Yes I thought about a good furniture polish for the wood but was worried about damaging it due to it's age which I am not sure of, I did use some brasso on the parts which look like brass, but If I put them up on auction I will have another go with an oil type polish as you suggested.

Thanks for advice they are quite nice looking knives even in there current state would love to have had one from new if only time travel were possible doh !
