What do you think of it ash, i want a simple pocket knife like my opinels but something shinny  :D i read a review on it and all seems good, i know these are chinese made but that doesnt bother me as long as its well made, i read on HH that the kiwi is slighly better made but too me its fugly  :P the grasshopper seems the better sized of the 3 smaller spyderco's , i had a finch and found my hands too big to operate the OHO properly so i hope this is slightly easyer,

It's a good, solid knife. Very easy to sharpen. It has a rather thick spine compared to the Opinel so you get a stronger blade in the same size. I'm not a big fan of SS scales though so I stopped carrying it.

Good old HH  :mail:  :ahhh  :ahhh how quick  :o . well first thoughts are very nice looking pocket knife, being ocd the finger prints will drive be nuts  :D also pretty stiff but solid, as for the OHO  cant do it, although no big issue, lovely solid knife, and fits nice in my hip pocket ,  :tu:

next to my trusty opie #4

That's a cool knife.  :tu: I have its two smaller brothers, bug and honeybee, and while I definitively can't OHO the bug (the smallish), I can do it on the honeybee. Regardless, I think they just carry the spydercohole for tradition / trademark, as they aren't supposed to be OHO anyway.

yeah in a more rustic kind of way  :D also the grasshopper looks more lethal than the opie, ill probably add the grasshopper to my pouch in my backpack as a spare blade, ill give it a few more days in my pocket and see  :tu:

If You're Looking For A Good One Handed Knife That Doesn't Lock Since You're In The UK I Highly Recommend The Spyderco UKPK And You Can Get Them For A Pretty Good Price Especially If You Buy One With The Old GIN-1 Steel.

I was thinking about getting a tern as more in my price range, but im not desperate for a OHO knife, ive got one  :tu: and prefer smaller pocket carry knives  :salute:

A Tern Would Be Perfect Actually. Also There Are Just Quite A Few Out There.

For OHO, Non Locking, And Decently Priced I'd Got For A Byrd Tern Or A Spyderco UKPK. Though The Tern Is a Little Smaller.

If You Were Able To Carry Locking Blades I Would Say Go For A Spyderco Dragonfly 2, Spyderco Native, Spyderco Spin, Spyderco Ladybug, Spyderco Manbug, Or Really Just Any Of Their Smaller Knives.

An Ambitious Or Persistence Would Probably Fit That Bill Nicely And Being Very Low Priced. It's Just Too Bad That They Lock.

I do like the look of the tern ,plus smaller is better for me, one on the list  ;)  :tu:

Love my Tern,Just recieved my first UKPK today, but pound for pound,a SanReMu HO2 is hard to beat at under £10 delivered from HK!Mine just keep finding thier way back into my pocket for work. Also they dont look terrably tact-i-cool,and have modding potential!

I'll Have To Try The Tern. And SRM Knives Are Nice For The Money But The Only Issue Is I Can't Find A Pleasing Size That Makes Me Just "HAVE" To Buy One.

Right Now I'm Loving My Tenacious, And Then I'll Get My UKPK From Jersey Devil  :tu:, And Then I'm Getting A Spyderco Q And A Spyderco Walker C37. Which The Q Has A Serrated Edge That I'm Not Too Thrilled About And The Walker Is a Combo Edge And I'm A Plain Edge Kind Of Girl, But They're Both Rare And Discontinued And I Just Couldn't Pass It Up. Plus I'm Getting A Little Lockback In With The Deal That I'm Going To Give To A Friend Because She Loved My Kershaw Black Gulch And The Style Of It So Much That When I Saw The Little Thing I Was Like "I Have To Get That For Her" Lol. I Think I've Created A Knife Nut.

Funny this thread should get a bump as I was just thinking about carrying my Grasshopper today, for the first time in a long while.  Oh, and I can OHO mine as well Paul. :D
