Guess what I have got planned this new years eve

Splashing In the pool

, some cider, more splashing,cider,more cider,BBQ,cider,splashing,cider followed by some um cider

.

We are just under the freezing mark now at -3C, and we probably won't see much on the plus side again until probably April.

My wife has informed me that we are going to a party at one of her co-worker's apartments, but I am really not feeling well at the moment. Unless that changes I don't think I'll be going anywhere, although I haven't informed her of that yet!

Since this seems to be the bug I got from her and she missed three days of work last week, I don't think she'll have much argument though!

Well I'm not drinking New years Eve , I had a few beers Christmas day ( well a lot actually ) and lastnight . So I said I'd stay sober New years as I know a couple of guys on our team are going to parties . There is a pretty decent band playing in our local pub so the family and I will probably go there for a bit and I'll fill myself full of fizzy soft drinks

and I will be eating everything in sight before my New Year Health kick .

Normally I say new years is very over rated BUT this year 2 people my wife & her best friend hooked up announced their engagement. So we are celebrating their partnership with a BBQ , a dip in the pool & quite a few drinks, surrounded by good friends & plenty of kids

Going to my co-workers place for some drinks I believe. There's a spare room so no driving. He's recently divorced and would not have had people over if she was still around so the big joke is planning to trash the place. Get well soon Def.

Why do i assume it's only the english who drink cider? well i'll be joining you and enjoying more than a couple of pints of the true amber nectar tomorrow.

I'll be ok- it's just a cold or something. I was sick a lot as a kid, so I think my body has built up a pretty good immunity and response mechanism. I am rarely down for more than a day or two, but I may ham it up a bit since I really don't want to go to the party.

I really don’t know what to do, I have some imported beer in my fridge and I am pondering about drinking them now or tomorrow. They say that tomorrow will be a very clear night so I am also thinking about finding a nice spot to take some pics.

I'll be consuming generous amounts of Jack Daniel's old #7 Black label whisky at my uncles house while we all play pictionary and laugh at my cousin's 3 year old child and my 3 year old son as they wreck the house. My wife is the DD as she is still able to move around just fine at this stage in the pregnancy. Her belly is just starting to show so we are still mobile! When she hits about 7 or 8 months I turn into her personal waiter. This I know from the experience of the first pregnancy.

Anyhoo, good times will be a'rollin tomorrow!

Staying home with the wife, there's a bottle of Cava in the fridge (who can afford actual champagne?!?!) I should setup the camera to take pics as locally people have a habit of dressing up and going out after midnight like Halloween... it's rather neat apart from the coolish temps... we're at 10C atm, and it's 6:55pm!

We have some friends coming over, will probably play board games with them and their kids until the wee hours of the morning. The wife has plenty of homemade pizza fixin's on hand to help us keep our strength up!

(after all, we wouldn't want to end up like these "lightweights" from Australia now would we?)

Tonight we have scrumpy, chocolate spice schnapps, vanilla jazz schnapps, real ale, vodka, JD and an obscene amount of food. Assuming none of us are unconscious or yodelling down the big white telephone at midnight, we'll be hitting the beach and popping open a bottle of Cava before returning to the cottage to welcome in the New Year with big smiles and blurred vision. It's cold, its wet, it's very windy - but it's New Years

Just finished watching Zombieland with the wife. Had a couple of cold ones, now catching up with the forums and news on the net.

I'm not bothered about sitting up till midnight, makes no sense to me.

Sprawled out on the floor next to empty liquor bottles and a multitool is pretty much the finest way to end the year I can think of Mat!

(those cider bottles must have put up quite a struggle if you needed to break out the Mighty Mut to get them open!)

I was out until around 2am at a party- good friends and good food, but I think I'm paying for it today as the cold I've been fighting seems to have seized it's opportunity for a coup. Being the driver I had one drink last night that I nursed between 9 and 10:30 or so, then just had ginger ale the rest of the night. I hadn't planned on having a drink, but when the margaritas got passed around I figured it was my duty to help dispose of them responsibly!

My wife poured me into my chair about 230am after a big bash at my uncle's house. We set off fireworks and had a ton of fun. I learned that smokebombs can and will ignite and rocket towards you if you kick them hard enough. I also learned that no matter how drunk your friends are they will remember how to sprint if given the proper motivation, say, a spinner lit and thrown in such a way as to chase them!

Well the plan was kind of kept to. I only had a couple of drinks as things weren't "sitting right" for some reason. The company was great and the food was going down OK but the drinks just weren't happening for me. We made it down to the beach with about 30 seconds to spare till midnight and fired off the cork into the darkness, but as soon as we made it back things went very wrong for me and I was spectacularly ill - you don't want to know, trust me. Here we are now on the evening of the third, and I've finally managed to get my first meal down me of 2012. In my case it was Happy New Yeaarrrgggghhhh
