That would be sweet.

Nope. Canadian for Square Drive :pok:

Named after the inventor who was Canadian. They are quite prevalent around these parts and one of the reasons I prefer to carry an LM with a bit driver. No company offers one standard on their tools. You can get the add-on from SOG if you can find it and care to pay for the part and shipping.

Reinier beat me to it :tu:

Robertson screws are the highest torque screws you can get.  Love them and its all I buy for wood working / house projects.  The only thing they are not good for is when you WANT a screw to torque out like when doing drywall phillips is better as they will slip out easy.

Some sort of (thin) marlin spike? Ruler?
Sounds interesting.

:D

Hopefully I'll have something to show off in a week.

Ive been booked solid with 91mm Ti builds which is nice, however most people just want the matte tumbled look so its not all that exciting to show off the same scales over and over.

I think this is the first explorer Ive done though.  Finished it today.

OK, what is the quantity we need to buy to make it worth your time?

I'll take one and Toolslinger seems in.

It will be a nice addition to the Bushcrafter that is in the works.

Canadian made cars should use Robertson.....but that is history.

Ya I gave it the old college try, but it jsut doesnt work.  The springs are so weird on 91s, they dont accomodate different tools well.  Oh well.

To spice things up I have a new tool layer coming out for 91/93 size that is a drop in replacement for the saw (uses saw backspring).  Its being waterjet right now....  any guesses?  Its one tool but I did up 3 versions of it since I couldnt decide what I liked best.  Its been on my list of requested tools for some time now.

Hmmm....a new blade that isn't a spear point???

Nope not a blade, but that is on the list.  Its something people have asked for alot and there is no version of it currently on 91mm SAKs.

  Cheese slicer?

Hmm - This kinda implies it is on another length SAK??
Malin spike? 93mm style awl??

Nope.  Id love one but i think it would have appeal only to Canadians.

Decking in the UK, and possibly Oz, for some reason uses Robertson screws. But yep, not so common - And would you need a decking screwdriver on your EDC??

So XAVT owner let you keep the left overs Syph? - Nice
- I guess not much use for them, if he is not a modder and now has his perfect EDC.
Really suprised he left out the Cybertools ???
- And to be honest - really suprised anyone tore down an XAVT  at all!!

Either a pry bar or a universal wrench?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

This one was interesting as it's a bladeless model.

I wanted to use the metal file backspring in the blade layer so I could use the phillips on the backside.  The only problem is the metal file layer is thinner by 0.015" than the blade layer.  So what I did was to mill off that much material from the flat pivot area of the phillips driver and it fit like a dream!  :D

For a guitar?

Just use a rubber band to hook over each end of the SAK around the neck  :tu:

I was hoping he'd have the parts cut this week, but looks like I'll have to wait until next week.  Boy this will be a let down if they don't turn out! :D  I'll show what I made anyhow though.
