And a tumbled finish ribbed voyageur.  :D

That is a great combo! Hope everything goes well with your surgery and a speedy recovery!

Heres one with the diamond texture I normally do on the 91s.  I have a feeling the ribbed one will be the popular choice however.

The backspring part for the scissors is working out just fine.  The only part of this process I'll need more thought to is machining the scissors down.  Since they are hardened the bits done last long. Im averaging 1 bit for 2 scissors.  There are higher quality ones meant for hardened steels so I will have to try those in the coming weeks.

Looks great, can we see a picture of the backsprings to compare the titanium one with the steel ones? Agree that the ribbed one looks great but have you done any knives with the diamond pattern aligned the other way? It just feels as if the longer axis should be along the longer side of the knife?

Couldn't sleep so I built one more.  :D  Heading out to the hospital now.  Wish me luck.  :D

Ribbed Timascus front.  I guess this is a cadet x with marlin spike in place of opener layer.  I scaled down my spike from the 91mm frame and it worked just fine.

I do not enjoy sitting doing nothing so I slowly made some 84mm scales with Timascus crosses today.  Very awkward to use a hammer with your off hand.

Robert, those are beautiful scales!

I just been back on forum for a short while, and read on this thread you are undergoing some kind of surgery, hope it is nothing too serious and you have a speedy recovery!

Just carpal tunnel.  I'm just impatiently healing.  The surgery part wasn't too bad.

Finally I'm able to start doing builds again.  Wrist isnt 100% but I'm taking it easy and so far so good.

This is a new skeletonized 84mm scale I wanted to try.  The timascus cross is riveted to the frame in two spots and it is on very solid.
