Does this look familiar to anyone ? I have had it for about 30 years. I got it when I was a teen. On the main blade it says Kutmaster Utica New York U.S.A. The gold part in the scale is the Boy Scout emblem.

Pretty cool! :tu: I know Kutmaster had the license to produce boy and girl scout knives for many years. (maybe they still have it..?)  They are still in business today, with many of their knives still made in the US :salute:

Yup, looks very familiar. Actually see them all the time in various levels of condition on Ebay. Kutmaster (Utica) does not currently have any license to produce Official BSA knives at the moment.

There's a lot of those at the antique store I frequent. Either BSA or GSA badged. The Girl Scout version I believe a little smaller, though. From what I have seen on eBay the Girl Scout version's are more prized cause they tend to be less used, I guess.

Here's a variant that I found in the same antique store. Late 70's. Snaps are good, but some wobble. Neat collector, though. Probably was a beast in it's day.

I've not had a chance to see how Kutmaster/Uticas stuff is now a days. Probably the same. Still made in the USA. Hard to tell when they lost the BSA/GSA license. I haven't ever come across anything online or in pawn shops or antique stores that was a Kutmaster/Utica stamped and featured BSA/GSA badges that came after the mid-80's.
