Has anyone ordered anything from these guys?

Their site looks legit with a good stock of knives and plenty of their own product images and so forth.

I placed an order in december that was apparently dispatched on jan 6'th. Still haven't gotten it and they haven't answered to any of my emails I've sent them since.

The estimated delivery time was supposed to be 5-7 working days to Sweden and it's been what? 15 or so now?

They've got my money so I wish I'd get my knives soon.. (bought a Compact, a Rambler and a pink alox Classic for my girlfriend along with some spare parts)

I mean, Britain aint that far from Sweden after all. :-\

Well..

Serves me right for not doing my homework before I placed an order I suppose.

Let's hope they're just slow and won't just keep my money without ever sending me anything.

I do think I know where I'll take my business next time..

Even if I end up receiving my things from swisstool.co.uk I'd rather not send any more money their way again.

And yeah, I knew about Felinevet.. not sure why I didn't go that route tbh. Live and learn eh? :twak:

Don't feel too bad. I often will go trudging around three towns to look at antique stores and seedy (Translation: Scary) pawnshops looking for rare SAK's. Then I get home and I'm like "...Wait a minute why don't I just check Tim/FelineVet's page." And low and behold...he's got what I need.

As Grant said...he's our (and others, too) in house SAK guy. He knows the trade. The values. And prices properly and ships fairly and rapidly.

Tried calling a number that's suppsed to go to the company owner according to a bunch of folks online.

No answer..

Going to send them a regular letter next, found a mailing address to them on their site.

It's odd though. They've put up a warning on their site that no orders will be processed during February due to some overhaul of their site.

Why would you put such a notice up if you're not a legit site? Won't just taking peoples money without doing anything else be enough then.

It's odd..

Hi I used them on the 12/12/2011 for some spares and they delivered ok for me, they did shut down over the holidays and again recently for some restructuring work till March but are still taking orders which they will sort out in March but I have not used them this year yet, as I am using my-tool-shed.co.uk as there prices and very competitive and I bought a Black Swiss Champ there recently for under £40 great buy and I am loving the new SAK now on my belt.

Well that's promising at least.

What worries me that I did get an email confirming that they had dispatched it. A package shouldn't have to take a month to get from England to Sweden. :P

No, nothing as of yet.

They have however stated on their site that they're closed during February and won't ship any new orders or answer any enquiries so.. I suppose they have an excuse at the moment. :P

To be honest.. I've basically written the things off as lost. If I ever end up receiving them it'll be a nice plus.

I'll keep you guys updated if anything happens. I have sent them a letter complaining though, whatever good that does.

That is tragic.

It's stories like this that make it hard for new, legitimate dealers to make a name for themselves since lots of people don't want to give them a chance.

Oh no doubt.

It makes you think twice before trying something other than the big established players out there. :-[

This is why we have an in house SAK dealer.  You should be able to get anything you want (and a whole lot more) from Felinevet's Shop.

http://www.edcsource.com/FELINEVET-SWISS-ARMY-KNIFE-STORE,name,100015,user_id,shop

If you don't see what you want listed, send him an email- he has more stuff available than he could ever get listed even if he had an army of minions working around the clock.  I have been working with him for the better part of a decade now and I have yet to hear any complaints about him, his products, prices or services.  That is especially amazing when you think that he does all his business online and the internet was developed so people could complain about things.  :P

He's also a member of this forum, and while he is based in California, he does ship all over the world at real prices, not the over inflated crap many sellers charge.

I second that.  :salute:
Tim is one of the best people i've ever bought from.
Great service and great knives.

I wonder why Vic lets that site abuse their name...
Small collection of SAK's, (but growing rapidly. :D) not so fast at this time. :( And the most important of all: Ze Zuper Zoldier by Steve!  :ahhh
