I love my iPhone. In case you can't figure it out I also use a stylus I made. Modded of course :p. It works fantastic and I actually type faster on my phone because of autocorrect. :p

Now that is a good idea. I might need to cancel my BB and order an iphone. LOL  I'll use a stylus from the nintendo ds kit.

well ash I agree with you.
I don't enjoy using a touch screen keyboard currently.
...But it also may be because I'm not used to it.

I have used touch screens at my work in the past and I can type fast with them, but I still prefer the tactile feel of the keys.

I have an old blackberry as well. lol
I hardly ever make an error while typing at blazing speeds on my BB!
In fact I've fixed it about 6 times or so. I know the thing inside and out.
I had a samsung focus for a while but gave up on it. LOL

Weird thing another stylus lol. I bought one specially designed for the iPhone and modded it to fit one of my mini pens. Now it's a mini stylus.

The Nintendo stylus will not work. It has to have a capacitive pass through. In other words it works off the small electric charge your finger has .

I've tried two types of stylus, the rubber tip and foam tip. They are okay for tapping but swiping is very unreliable, and either way you kinda have to push down a bit for it to work reliably instead of very light touch with fingers.

I've tweaked mine a little. When I disassembled mine, I added a small piece of that "special capacitive foam" to the inside. It works flawless. I believe I have a photo here somewhere.

While I hate to contradict the Great Steveness  , I actually liked and miss the stylus on my previous PDA's and phones.  While I appreciate the expanded gestures screens have nowadays, I also liked choice which I suppose Apple has rendered obsolete.

I used my fingers and stylus with my touchscreens in the past, and judging by the number of styli on the market today, I'm not the only one.

I wanted a stylus for the iphone for a while, but I have completely lost that desire.

For a less thumby approach, try holding it in landscape differently so you can use your index fingers to type - little more accurate if you can adjust to it
