Not everything I got at SHOT was from CRKT!

Believe it or not, even after the threads I started about the Keydashi, Range Bag Tool, Picatinny Tool and Ripple, I did get stuff form other booths.  In this thread I'm going to give you a quick look at the Nextorch MyTorch USB programmable flashlight.  Here it is compared to a Mini Mag light so you can gauge it's size.

If you don't know how big a Mini Mag is, I can't help you.  Since I'm not a flashlight guy I'm not sure what special things you need pics of, but here's what I did take.

The tail switch glows in the dark too!  :D

I'm really enjoying this little light.  I like the programmable features of it, and as you'll see from this screenshot, programming it is as simple as choosing a function from a drop down menu and brightness from a slider.

I'll do a video or something on it soon, but I have successfully programmed in a complex sequence- I can set it to pulse out an SOS over and over.

Looks good!  Does it recharge through the USB port?
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

I have one of these as well.  Mine does not recharge through the USB port, it is a single AA light.
There are close to infinite options for the programming.  Good little light overall.

This looks cool.

It looks as though the head covers the USB port to keep it water resistant.  Unless I'm looking at it wrong

Your assumption is correct, to get to the USB port you have to unscrew the head quite a bit.

The 1xAA that I have does not recharge through the USB port but some of the larger models do.  The rep I spoke to at the show also said that was a feature that they were working on providing in the future for all sizes, but I have no interest in that since I don't put rechargeable batteries in my lights.

I'd wondered that myself, so it's good to know it's not an issue. :tu:  I'm also surprised as to just how reasonably priced these are. :o  I'd assumed these were much more expensive.

Damn you Grant, that's another thing to add to my wish-list.

Very clever. I like the idea of being able to control the levels like that.

What's the output on a AA and can you use a li-ion in it?

Output is settable from 5-70 lumens.  As far as using a li-ion, I have done it and not seen any problems with it.

Hmm... so are you likely to get away with a higher output using a li-ion then?

(hoping someone is about to put me off needing one of these) :D

If there was an output difference, I did not notice it.  I will have to test when I get home to see for sure.
Just go buy one, lol. They're nice lights.
