Sunday/Dressier Occasion Knife

What pocket knife do you carry for dressier occasions?

I have an older red alox Vic Pioneer with the simple Swiss Cross and brass liners.  It has a fairly slim profile and just enough blades and tools that I don't feel empty handed.

Vic climber goes with me anywhere in jacket pocket, but will switch to caly 3 CF for pants pocket knife. The bronze wire clip hides well against gray dress pants, but can always be dropped inside if necessary.

I got two special knives I save for the rare days I got to dress up.

a sliver alox Vic farmer and a benchmade 32 morpho

I carry one or the other depending on where I am going.

A black ALOX Vic Pioneer/Cadet or black scaled Executive. Never needed a bigger blade than those and no one looks twice when you pull out an Executive. I'd like to add a Director and a Windsor to the mix one day. Still searching for a bargain one.

One of the slim 84mm SAKs make for a great suit knife, the Pocket Pal is a good example. 8)

For those rare occasions when I'm forced to wear a suit or such, I carry two knives-my Cadet and my Case small Texas Jack.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

If I had the money I'd love to own a Chris Reeve Mnandi with African Blackwood inlays. Now that's a dressy knife. :tu:

For decades it was a Cadet. Since MTO I also used a Mountaineer, Harvester, Executive and Minichamp. Next time I'll have my Ladybug too.

SAK's are great.  I just purchased a Spyderco Caly 3 for a special occasion knife.

Depending on how thin it needs to be (how formal the occasion), it might be a single layer red Wenger Patriot, 2 (3 layer soon) cadet, or a 3 layer Wenger Dynasty Series Galahad Packlock.  The pioneer/SI series is also good, but a but too long (unless you can hang it vertically).

Last time I had to act presentable, it was a Hartkopf 255 with snakewood handles and Damascus pattern blade.

http://www.toolshop.de/Knives/Folding-Knives/Hartkopf-Mod-255-Damascus-SnakeWood::3014.html (I have nothing to say about that store, neither good nor bad, as I have never shopped there, it just was the first place I found with a picture of that exact model.)

I think Alox is dressy enough really, but also have other options such as this:

(I have a boxwood one)
