Welcome to the forum- where have you been all this time? We've kept the fire going till you got here. We have more than a few Okies here so you should be in familiar company. Now, a bunch of guys are going to ask you questions like "What kinds of tools do you have" and "What's your favorite" but you can answer them after we get through the important stuff like What kind of is Ajo? I only ask because my Shepherd/rotti cross is in my lap and my Siberian Husky is lying on the floor next to the couch as I type this, and they are going to want to know! DefSorry, had to step away for a few minutes. Thanks to everyone for the welcome mat. Pleease tell your friends that "Ajo" is a 5 year old Czech Shepard who does patrol duties, ie, narcotics, tracking and handler protection. He's a great partner and is with me 24 hours a day, he also enjoys meeting other animals, unlike most police K9's. He's a little freaked out by miniature horses but that's another story for another time. As far as my tools go, I have many that I carry in my unit and have used over the last 19 plus years but to be honest, after reading some of this website I have much to learn. So with that in mind, please consider me the new rookie who came here to learn and is willing to do the grunt work until told otherwise. I'll just be over here emptying the trash or something with my mouth shut and my ears open.Stew and Ajo...

Presently my SOG multi sees the most use but is too large to carry on my already heavily laden "Batman" belt. I'd greatly appreciate any input on a small, sturdy multi that will fit in my front pocket.
Welcome! What part of OK are you from? My Dad and family are from South Central(Healdton, Ardmore) near the border. I am in North Texas but have them good ole OKie roots!

You realize now that you've asked the question, you might as well just start handing your money over.Maybe you should start with a swisstool spirit x from walmart since it is currently on sale. Sent from my phone.
Welcome to the forums Stew, from your neighbor to the north in KS,we got our first snow this season thanks for sending it up,hope to hear more from you,and your K9 friend.
Good to see another dog man here. I worked canine (private security) for quite a few years. My old dog Pete (no longer with us) and I worked a lot of nasty places and we both have the scars to prove it. Pete was a dogo argentino, which I swear is the absolute best dog on the planet for pretty well anything. He was a tank.Oh, and I know what you mean about the Batman belt- when I started working security I had a 28 inch waist and used to try and carry anything I'd ever need for any situation. Nowadays my equipment list has been pared down significantly, although the available real estate has grown by more inches than I care to tell! Funny that you mention that breed. Another handler that I train with is from Austria and said almost the exact same thing about that breed. I'm not familiar with them but clearly they're reputation proceeds them. I'm gonna Google that them and see what I can learn about "Pete". Ajo and I would have loved to learn a thing or two from him, we'll drink a toast to him tonight since it's our last night off. Stew and Ajo...Def

G'day & welcome Stew + Ajo .I too own quite a formidable hound myself , the ferocious 'Kipper' dog (Image removed from quote.)To be fair he has grown into his ears a bit more now days , but I still call him freak of nature Ok let me try this again, Hello Kipper and nice ears. Ajo has big ears too but I reference them like the rear sight of a handgun when we're tracking. I look straight over his head the direction he's looking cuz that's where our bad guy is.
