I was at a local store and found a few nice items.

This Quick Edge knife sharpener by Lansky was a few dollars less than the Accu-Sharp. If that wasn't bad enough, a small knife was included for free.

the small knife is made in China...but even at that, the blade is nice and thick with a great profile.  The lock is very positive and won't break loose during use. For a free knife, a great value.

Next up are a pair of Buck combos. Both are called Omni Combos. The smaller 390 combo on the top, the larger 393 combo on the bottom.

This is a Buck 390 with a PakLite Guthook.

A larger Buck 393 with PakLite Caper.

While at the store, they received some new ceramic knives since the last time I was there. Interestingly enough, a kitchen set caught my eye.

These are imported by a company called...

The knives are packaged in a nice gift box with individual blade protectors and a micro fiber cloth.

The 4 piece set includes a Chef, Santoku, Utility, and Parer knife.

What caught my eye however, is the stylish knife block that was included with the set.

This is going to be my first time with Kitchen ceramics. I guess I had better read up on sharpening techniques.

Well I just did a quick research. Looks like I would need a diamond hone to sharpen these. The company has a send back to re-sharpen for free service that I will use if and when I need them re-sharpened.

I also read an extensive list of does and don'ts so I should be golden.  :D

This should be the case for all knives.
