Hello from Spain (Galicia)
on: March 05, 2012, 10:36:29 AM
Hey!. I'm new here!. Mi name is Jose.
I greet you all from Spain (Pontevedra, Galicia) . I'm a big fan of multi-tools. I'm specifically looking for a multi-tool thatin  Spain is not for sale , this is a special brand made the SOG for Harley Davidson (because I have a HD, Dyna FXD), its the "HD 30", you describe it very well here: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=19431.60
(You can see a photo below.)
I would be very interested in buying one. It happens that I have a couple of friends who, in August, will take a tour of the United States. I wanted to commission me buying it, but I am unable to locate a store that sold. They will go through the cities of New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Ángeles. If any of you would tell me if any of these cities there is a store that sells multi-tool the HD30, I would be eternally grateful, really!!!  :hatsoff:
Receive a greeting from Spain and thank you very much in advance to all you can help me.  ;)
(Sorry for my bad inglish)  :-[

Considering all the Spanish I know is drink orders and swear words I think your English is fine!  :D

I think you can buy the Harley Davidson multitools through local Harley Davidson dealers, and there should be at least one in each of those cities you mentioned.  Alternatively you could try buying from a vendor online which will probably save you a fair bit of money.  I would suggest contacting Travis (travisautry@msn.com) to see if he can quote you a price plus shipping to Spain, if for no other reason than comparison.  Of course he could probably also get it and send it to one of the hotels your friends will be staying at on their trip.

Feel free to ask any questions- it's what we are here for.  :D

Thank you very much for the welcome!. My English is not very rich, but I helped a bit with the "Google translator".  >:D
I appreciate your help, but from what I've seen in HD dealerships in the U.S., do not have this item for sale  :-[. I think it best to look at any good hardware store.
Following your advice, I wrote an email to Travis and I have consulted this issue. I look forward to see what he answers.
Thanks again for your help.  :tu:

G'day & welcome Jose  :D :D

Those SOG HD multitools can be tough to find , I do not think they make them anymore   , I think HD is only using a cheap/rubbish multitool too put it's name on now  :( :(.

When I was in California last year I went into a HD accessory store & they only had cheap horrible knives & multitools for sale  :( :(. A HD dealership may have more tools for sale  but if they had any SOG's they would be very old stock I would thought   .

US Ebay is probably your best place   , good luck mate  :tu: :tu:

Indeed, this tool is no longer manufactured and HD actually does a very poor quality multi-tool  :P. You may be able to find any loss in any hardware store, or even wait to see if any leaves on ebay used. Here in Spain, I can get new trade, which is this:
http://www.filofiel.com/tienda/product_info.php?cPath=55_282_291&products_id=122
It Costs € 99 + 8 € for shipping, Which would cost me in total € 107. (More or less, $ 141  :ahhh)
I think in the U.S. Could find a much better, I think.
I am in contact with Travis, to see if we can find. He is a very nice person who told me to help me with this issue. Such kindness is appreciated. :salute:
Thank you all for your interest.

Hello again everyone. I want to thank you for the welcome. Especially to a forum member who has helped me long to find this MT. I found this ad on ebay-used:
http://www.ebay.es/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110840417252
but since I could not buy it, then do not ship to Spain, this forum member helped me and bought it for me. Now he sent me to Spain. I pay through paypal and topped matter  :tu:. The MT is used but appears to be in very good condition. Here in Spain cost me € 107 and then I will buy for about € 55-60 (depending on shipping costs to Spain). It was a great luck to find you!.  ;)
Thanks to all, because many of you tried your selfless help me. There are great people on this forum!   :salute:

I was wondering if you'd had any luck with this, so I'm glad to hear it worked out for you.  We have a lot of great and helpful people here so I really didn't doubt you'd find someone willing to act as a go between for you, but it's still good to hear that you got what you were after.

Please keep us informed on what you think of it when it arrives!
