Learn something new every day   I had one way back when I was too young to really handle a dog (I think I was around 21).  I like dogs, but am just no good at training them.  I know it takes a lot of time and patience, and I didn't really have the time to be around for it.  Little bugger was full of it all the time, and I could not get him house trained to save my life.  I eventually had to get rid of him, but he went to a good home where they had space for him to burn that energy and the time to dedicate to him. 

They are typically hard to train. The were originally bred to go after foxes in the den. You will see them on farms a lot hanging out mostly in barns because they are after the critters that are not wanted there.

Yeah I wish I'd been more aware of that before I got one, but I learned soon enough   This is why I'm a cat man myself.  Very little required there outside of food and a litter box.  They pretty well handle themselves.  They also don't listen either

Closest thing to a pet I to is my Glock. I clean it, feed it, talk to it, it protects me, it goes everywhere with me, and sometime it jumps into bed with me...Not often. Just not a good idea.
Call him The G Man, he's a cute little guy...Loud though.

The sentence I had in mind regarding the tail would get lost in translation from German to English.

Thanks. It´s a Tomcat called Marlon (like Brando).
He doesnt really fit onto my wifes lap as comfortable as he was used to as our son takes more and more space inside.
Is it safe to post the German remark her or would it make us all blush?

I was never a huge fan of cats. I don't hate them, I just like dogs better, but for some reason, this cat really likes me. When we got her, she had pink eye really bad. It was so bad that the stuff I had would not whip it and I just took her strait to the vet. I figured that right there would be a good reason hate me. That and all the meds I had to give her. Saddly she lost the eye, but that does not slow her down any. This is one of the very few cats that I really like. She is a lot of fun. And meets me at the door with the dog when I get home from work.

My wife and I never were cat people, we were always dog lovers, then just one day we wanted to get our dog a little play pal, and some one found a cat in there basement, and needed to get rid of them, and we took him in and have had him for about 2-1/2years, and he'll soon be 3. He's great, we keep looking back wondering why we never liked cats. JR

It's been a rough winter. We lost a couple of our furry friends. The house just isn't the same without them. Though they could never be replaced, my remaining dog Monk needed a new friend. He just hasn't been himself since we lost our boy Pike. We found a new pal for him at a local shelter. Meet Lulu. She is a little love bug.
