That's not that far off from my favorite spring/summer/fall tipple, a variation of the venerable Dark & Stormy. My version uses *good* spiced rum (Sailor Jerry, Cruzan 9, The Kraken, heck even Myer's Dark will do in a pinch, but NO Morgan under pain of death), ginger beer, and the juice of one lime. Rum and citrus go ooooh so well together, as does rum and ginger.
I love cider
Straight whiskey, no fruity drinks for me. No jack daniel either, don't like the filtered tastelessness
Pisco sours!

I'm not usually a big drinker, though I do occasionally get a wee bit carried away as those on this years meet may attest to (that last bottle of wine must have been a bit off )That said, I do like a drink, and at the moment my drinks cupboard has:Three bottles of single malt (Ardmore, Glenfiddich Rich Oak, and Ledaig) Red, rose and white wines (assorted)Polished off the last bottle of berry cider last night ... need to remedy that ASAPBottled lagerCouple of cans of BombadierThorntons Chocolate LiqueurVodkaMorgans Spiced RumCheap Bacardi-esque white rumVanilla Jazz SchnappsChocolate Spice SchnappsPeach SchnappsGinPlus, midori, blue curacao, Creme de Cassis, and non-alcoholic mixersIn hand right now I've got a G&T, but I did have a lager and a rum & coke earlier. For me it depends on the mood and occasion, much like choosing a multitool or SAK. My favourite is probably a good single malt, but I have to make that an occasional treat or I can get a bit lot carried away

Good job all those other bottles were OK though, eh? If they'd all have been a bit off, we'd have been in a right old pickle
