Did a few small odd jobs around the home with rebar, I gotta say its handling is easier than his other brothers.
It's in deed an awesome tool.  :tu:

My Rebar has wobbly handles... but somehow is still my favourite tool. :tu:

My Rebar was also my new favorite MT (for two whole days!) until trying to pull a strike plate off an old door did this:

You could grind the pliers down a bit and make it a blunt nose or just send it in to LM to get it fixed/replaced.

My personal choice would be a blunt nose. :D

Thanks. I sent it off to Leatherman Japan today (my country of residence). From what I've been reading on all the forums, I'm expecting good things. Looks like my Spirit now takes belt precedence for the time being.

I will, though, keep your blunt nose mod in mind for future breaks.

I've had my Rebar about a week now. As mentioned in another thread it's seriously gunning for my #1 spot, and while I've been trailing it I've decided it's replaced my Blast as my EDC MT indefinitely.

I still think the Blast is a better made tool… but the rebar is so thin!

And here it is hanging with a couple of good looking european friends.

It's thinner than a Vic explorer AND a super tinker… craziness considering how many tools it has.

Nice pics Rimfire :tu:  That is indeed one of the big positives to the Rebar.  It packs a lot into a pretty pocketable frame, and isn't that heavy either.

Finally got hold of an unmodified Rebar the other day (cheers again Steve), so can now have a play with the original head and awl.  Expect a video review some time soon. ;)

The Rebar is definitely next on my list, when I got the SOG PowerDuo a couple weeks back I feel I should have went with the Rebar and I'm kicking myself. It was a new tool either way I guess. Nice to see I can pick my Rebar up from WallyWorld when I get the time.
