Here's a weird one from Joseph Rodgers & Sons... Two identical saws

Hmmm, yours puts me in mind of another Joseph Rodgers tool Neil, the famous OSS Escape Knife. It had three identical saw blades, with the intention that when one got dull, the user could simply switch to the next.

It doesn't have any military store numbers on it or even a /|\ mark as seen on every bit of old British military kit

The Escape knife is the closest I could place it.  Have you tried Bernard Levine on one of the other forums?

Still don't have an theories about that one Neil. I wonder if the forward-facing saw blade teeth are a clue somehow?

I only have one of Bernard Levine's books.  There was a picture in it similar to Bob's except the saw profile was more like my knife.

I quick google and look over some other forums didn't get me much closer but to be fair I probably only gave it ten minutes of link clicking.
