I was at the local pet food supplies shop today buying some dog food for our Papillon cross Tenterfield Terrier(Miniature Fox Terrier) dog Kipper & a local dog shelter was displaying some dogs that require new homes. They had X3 8 year old Labradors that they where hoping to be all placed together , that will be a tough deal
, the dogs appeared to have a wonderful temperament though
.
There was one dog though, who I was instantly drawn too, Bruce(
).He looked to be a kelpie puppy(Kelpie is a Australian sheep dog breed).

I was VERY surprised to hear Bruce was a fully grown 2 year old Kelpie cross Jack Russell

Bruce reminded me so much of my best friends old dog,a Kelpie cross called Declan , who I knew for 15 years & I loved that dog, he had so much character & such a great temperament.
Any-ways enough of the sentiment here is Bruce
I think we may look to adopt Bruce , the shelter does screen new owners + their homes/yards & we will have to see if Bruce will get on with our dog Kipper
.The shelter does a 2 week trial period, which does seem a very good idea.
Bruce is a very odd name for a dog though
