King of the Hill?

What kind of multi-tool is on Dale Gribble's belt all the time? I'm thinking an old WAVE.  :D

Sorry guys. Had to do it!

I dunno, but Hank Hill also uses a multi.  He saves Randy Travis from drowning with it when his trailer ran into the lake in one episode.

That is one of the few times when I'd suggest a cheap knockoff that will fail at a critical time!   >:D

In the episode where Hank substitutes for the school woodshop teacher, Hank also produces a multitool to repair a stool-impressing the kids in the process. Hank then one-hand flips the tool implying, I believe, an SOG. I suppose it could be a Leatherman. Knowing Hank's proclivities, I'd suspect the SOG compound leverage spiel would be right up his alley.

The old Wave is real hard to open one handed though.  Mine is impossible to butterfly open but it could just be tighter than others.

I saw one episode where Dale was cutting something with his and the way he was cutting would exclude any of the outside opening multi-tools. IIRC this was an older episode so he may have bought a newer one since then.

They do go into great detail in the show, so I bet they pay attention to the multis.

In the "Hank's Back Story" episode, Dale uses his multitool during the lawnmower race, opening the blade one-handed to slash Hank's rear-end prosthesis(he was wearing because of his Diminished Gluteal Syndrome), which leaked and caused Hank to lose the race.

Must be a Leatherman Wave, methinks.  :D

I actually just saw the wood shop episode. Besides from opening the pliers like  a switch blade, the outside opening tools,(they were on the inside of the handle when the tool was open) the shape of the serrated blade, and the lanyard ring, lead me to believe he has a BEAR & SON!

It is, but they do pay a lot of attention to detail. Even down to the Texas DPS patches.

I just saw that episode too and I was thinking Gerber by the way he "flicked" it open.

Yeah, I just saw an episode where Hank was fishing and he was wearing a Bass Pro hat.  I thought it was pretty cool that they would use real brands and logos on the show.  Perhaps Hank buys his multitools from Bass Pro?

I just watched an episode where ZZ Top were related to Hank (cousin i think). Hank had to use his Leatherman Wave to cut a ZZ Top band members beard off because it was stuck in the seat belt of a burning Cadillac.

Yep...it said Leatherman Wave right on the side of it.

well maybe not :D

I am very much into "adult" style cartoons.  It started with the Simpsons, then grew into South Park, then Family Guy and eventually into American Dad, King of the Hill (which I couldn't stand initially but grew to enjoy and now I'm a KOTH junkie!), Robot Chicken, Drawn Together and yes, even Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which I'll admit is one of the dumbest shows around, but for some reason I keep watching it!  Oh yeah, and my all time favorite, Futurama!

Pending para un bending....

These are more reality than Reality Shows and I love them!  Plus there's the occasional SAK or multitool reference in them which really gets my attention, like in the Futurama episode where all the robots go crazy and Fry is forced to use his trusty Swiss Army Knife to open a can.... and of course he can't work it which frustrates him.  Or on the Simpsons where Ernest Borgnine tries to save all the boy scouts (Junior Campers I think they called them) from an attacking bear only to find out that Homer stole his knife and was somewhere else.

Then there was the infamous "Leatherbuddy" clip from the Simpsons...

Futurama is a fantastic cartoon..but those dvd movies they are throwing out seem hollow for some reason.

Ren and Stimpy made for some good TV back when they were new.
